I groaned when my phone rang.  "Violet, how far are you?"

I checked the time.  "Talk to me."

My brother sighed.  "A messenger from this king is here.  50,000 strong with him."

I sat up, smiling.  "Give me one hour.  You know what to do."

"Violet?"

"Yes?"

"I've already had the other territory checked, they are safe... for now."

I smiled softly.  "Thank you, Zay."

"Hurry your ass up."

I chewed my lip as I watched Ezekiel sleep, he would kill me for leaving him.  "Damn these vamps and their timing."

I shook him.  "Wake up."

He blinked.  "Wha-"

I hurried out of bed and dressed.  "I've got some killing to do.  Coming?"

He was up in an instant.  "What are you talking about, Violet?"

I smiled.  "Apparently the king didn't take my refusal too kindly.  Come on, I'm gonna miss the fun."

I rolled my eyes as Apollo appeared when the door open.  "We have to go, now."

He tilted his head.  "Why?"

"Hopefully to kill a bunch of wolves."

He frowned.  "Why do you seem excited about this?"

Ezekiel pat his shoulder as I ran down the hall.  "Somethings... you just don't question."

He was on my heels as I sprinted for the treeline.  "We can dri-"

"Faster to run."

I shifted as soon as I was out of view and sped home.  I wasn't even out of breath when the enemy hit my radar and I paused, leading Ezekiel and Apollo, who apparently came too, around them so we wouldn't be detected.  When I got in my house I threw on some sweats and a long sleeved shirt and began to strap on my blades.  "Violet..."

I smirked.  "Ezekiel?"

I turned to face him when I finished and he looked as terrified as he felt.  "There's too many."

I tilted my head.  "For who?"

He looked at me and opened his mouth, regrouped and tried again.  "This isn't safe."

I brushed past him.  "Again, for who?"

He sighed as I skipped down the steps.  "Do you know how many are out there?"

"50,000 according to my scouts.  We will be throughly entertained... if they attack.  I'm really hoping they do."

Apollo was in front of me in an instant.  "I cannot allow you t-"

"I'm gonna make myself very clear, while I'm not in a frenzy.  Get in my way and you will die with them.  Understood?"

He gaped before smiling, which I found strange.  "I fight with you."

I shrugged it off and strode to my office where Xavier and Aurora were waiting, my pack already in position.  "Talk quick, messenger."

His eyes widened.  "You we-"

"Not here?  Now, I am.  Time's ticking.  I've got a lot of pent up frustration to unleash and a Goddess to please."

He paled.  "The king sent me to have your pack escorted to the palace."
