His smile was radiant as he dragged me in and we were seated. I watched the people around us, not comfortable with being in the middle of everything.
He grabbed my hand. "We can sit somewhere else."
I thought for a moment, noting mostly everyone was human. "No... it's okay..."
He gestured to a waiter and we moved anyway. "Better?"
I relaxed some now that we were in the corner and I could see everything. "Thank you."
He smiled. "Anything for you." I watched him look over the menu amused, he was estatic that I half agreed to this after he kidnapped me. I knew it was most likely because he had been trying to get me on a date since we met. He looked at me curiously. "Uh... don't like the food."
I smirked. "I'm not picky... guess what I would like."
He frowned. "Most girls would get a salad or something."
I bit my lip. "I'll leave you to figure out if I'm most girls or not."
He furrowed his brow as the waitress came and paused at the sight of us. We looked at her and she paled before a small breath escaped her lips and she collapsed to the ground. "Humans..."
I raised an eyebrow as another woman and a man came to help her and they froze, but at least didn't faint as they took her away. "What?"
He sighed. "A bit dramatic sometimes."
I tilted my head. "I don't understand..."
He raised his eyebrows. "You clearly haven't spent a lot of time mingling with them."
I poked out my bottom lip. "Only our humans, but they don't..."
The man returned and smiling. "What would you like to drink?"
Ezekiel frowned as his eyes traveled over my body. "Tea please." He opened his mouth to speak. "For both."
He nodded as his smile faltered. "Right away."
I stroked my thumb over his hand. "When will you realize no one is a threat, Love."
He sighed. "It's not that, I may be a bit territorial."
I giggled. "A bit?"
He smiled softly. "Okay so... steak?" I smirked. "Fish?" He narrowed his eyes as I didn't answer. "Chicken?" I bit my lip as not to laugh. "Pork?" He pursed his lips. "Okay then..."
The waiter returned. "Ready to order?"
Ezekiel kept his eyes trained on me. "The steak, medium rare, baked potato and mac and cheese.... and for this lovely lady... the lamb, mmmm... sweet potato and asparagus."
I giggled. "That's perfectly fine."
The waiter hesitated. "Anything... else?"
We didn't break our stare off. "That'll be all." He left and I reached up to brush some hair out of Ezekiel's eyes. "You really won't tell me your favorite food."
I bit my lip. "No."
He frowned playfully. "Can I guess?"
I nodded. "You'll never get it so go ahead."
He sat back. "Is it a meat?"
I thought for a moment. "It has meat."
He narrowed his eyes. "It has vegetables?" I nodded. "Noodles?" I shook my head. "Rice?"
