Chapter 102

"Master Violet..."  Apollo didn't come near.  "You're hurting, how can I help?"

I clenched my jaw as I glared at him.  "You can't now.  You shouldn't have submitted to me."

He relaxed.  "I apologize for upsetting you, but... it is how things are done."

I swallowed the lump in my throat.  "Just... go... if I have need I will call for you."

He nodded and they were gone as quickly as they came.  "Violet..."

I sagged in defeat.  "Now, I'm responsible for what feels like 3000 vamps, great, fucking great."

Relax, girl... we've commanded legions...

"That doesn't help, Amethyst."

She growled.  You should have fucking thought about that before you saved him... they are a part of your pack now, suck that shit up and take them home.

I shook my head.  "Not tonight... I jus-"  More tears fell as my phone rang.  "Zay... I fucked up..."

He sighed.  "I feel it... vampires, Violet?  We were supposed to find them not make them join us."

"That wasn-"  My voice broke.  "I couldn't just let him get killed.  Do you know how old that fucking rule is?"

Ezekiel hugged me, not knowing what else to do as I was on the verge of a full breakdown.  My twin sighed.  "Well... it'll help us out at least... he was a leader?  How old is he?"

I sobbed.  "Old Latin accent... he's ancient..."

"Fuck..."

"How was I sup-"

"I need you to breathe... there's nothing you can do now and you will not go back on the Goddess's will."

I nodded.  "I know..."

I heard him rummaging.  "We have no where safe for them right now, so you'll need to let them know that and we'll figure it out from there.  If memory serves, they are daywalkers now."

I nodded again.  "Yeah... all of the energies responded so..."

He went silent for a moment.  "Well I expect them to be included in training next week.  I'll brief everyone here.  You get your shit together and go address the newest additions to our pack."

"I don't wanna."

"That's too fucking bad.  They are part of us now and they need to be with us sooner rather than later or they are in danger, you know that as well as I do."

"Damn you, and your not fucked up mind.  I hope you save a vamp and have to go through this torture one day, dammit."

He laughed.  "I'll pass, meeting the others now."

I let my phone fall to the ground and wrapped myself tightly around Ezekiel.  "I'm sorry..."

He sighed and kissed my head.  "You didn't mean for this to happen."  I rubbed my face in his chest, trying to find comfort that I knew wouldn't come until I dealt with this.  "He said you were hurting."

I nodded.  "Hurt, pain, danger, fear... he can feel those things, it makes him aware if something is amiss.  Only him though, thankfully."

I could feel his frown.  "Not your emotions like me."

I shook my head.  "Only things that would alert him to trouble."

He relaxed.  "Then, I can live with that."
