While looking at Ashur she remembered those days that both of them are in love with each other. Those where the days that she has him— through happiness, sadness and walwal days. The one whom she fell in love with. He is her personal Baymax. When everything falls apart, he will be the one who'll hug you until you feel better and never leaves your side even when everyone left you behind.
Her heart aches when she reminisce those days. She wants to thank him for those memories but bitter memories crashed it down. She can't even looked at their photos and memorabilia's that she has. She don't even wanna see him, ever again. But, guess luck isn't on her side.
"So, here's the layout of the resort." she gave him the papers. "I'll get back to you after I discuss it with the Board." she said.
"Okay." he look through the papers and his eyes laid on her.
"I'll go now. Thank you, Mr. Martins. It's a pleasure dealing with you." she said. She's thankful that her voice did not betrayed her. She held out her hand for a formal business handshake.
"The pleasure is mine. Thank you, Ms. Rodriguez." he responded as he shook her hand.
She turn her back and about to leave when Ashur held her hand again. She was frozen by the sudden gesture of him. She remains silent and let him talk first.
"Ahm... I... Ah... Did you get your lunch already?" he asked her.
"Yes. Before I got here." she answered back and look back at him. "My hand, please."
"I'm sorry." he said to her as he let go of her hand.
The words he said gives anger to her. She don't want to hear those words from him. Even if it's just because he held her hand.
"It's okay. I'll go now." she said. And immediately reach the door so she can get out before lashing out her anger to him.
She do not want to him to see her at her lowest state right now. She don't want to remember the past. It's giving her chills.
She hurriedly get inside the elevator and pressed the button. When the door closed, she step back and lean on the frame. She's taking deep breaths while counting from one to three and remembering happy thoughts. She's fighting her inner demons. She's been fighting it all alone, she don't want her family or other people to know about it. Not until her bestfriend sees the medications she's been taking for so long. She's helping and encouraging her to seek psychiatric treatment.
After a while, her breathing became normal. She stand straight before the doors opened. She walks out the elevator with grace and power like nothing happened behind those closed door. She search for her phone inside her purse and dialed her bestfriend's number while waiting for the valet to get her car.
"Are you okay?" her bestfriend, Serenity said after answering her call.
She chuckled before answering. "I haven't said anything yet." she said.
"Ina-alam ko lang. You know that everytime you call sasagutin ko agad and ask if you're okay. Anyways, anong nangyari?" she asked.
"Nasaan ka ngayon? I'll go to you nalang." she asked dahil gusto niyang makausap 'to ng personal.
"I'm in my condo, beb. I'll cook something while waiting for you nalang. What do you want to eat?" tanong nito sa kanya.
