-Kai'sa POV-

It's been around an hour of talking and so far, Ezreal has been really helpful about this entire situation. He was hesitant at first, but he finally understood that I'm on his side... after telling him around a hundred times. Can't blame him though, a girl that appears out of nowhere wearing the death carcass of a void creature, fused with it better said, claiming that she is on your side and wants to help you in the war against the void. It's kinda crazy to be honest.

Me: Do you think the others will accept my offer?

Ezreal: I mean, any help is welcomed right now. Two of our most powerful allies are lost and our leader was a little affected by that.

Me: Well, I can assure you that I will do anything that's needed in order to repel the void from this world.

Ezreal: If you say so. I trust you on that actually, I already saw you helping me save that woman and child after all.

My face made a grimace for a moment after remembering that moment. I saw my own mother, but I didn't have the strength to confront her right then. I have become a monster, and I know a lot of people are going to be afraid of me for that. However, I can't just abandon her.

I'll confront her eventually, there's no way I'll turn back from my family. But I have to make sure I have somewhere to go first, just in case...

Just in case she doesn't accept what I've become.

As these thoughts crossed my mind, I heard the phone from the guy in front of me ringing. He made a small gesture to ask me for a moment and I gladly excused him. He stood up for a moment and walked behind the sofa he was sitting on. I wasn't sure if I should try to hear what he was talking on the phone, but I didn't even have the time to think about it because he started talking in a really loud tone.

Ezreal: What do you mean she's gone!? Do you think she went on her own?

He seemed shaken, almost scared actually.

Ezreal: No, you and Janna won't be enough to find her before anything big in that forest does it first. And knowing Sarah, she'll pick up a fight without thinking it twice. I'm calling for backup, we can't let her disappear too.

He quickly hung up the phone and started to text something on it. After a minute or so, he turned around and saw me with nervous eyes.

Ezreal: I hope you are ready, because your help could come in handy right now.

I stood up and prepared my armor, making him smile in return.

Ezreal: We have to run to the forest. I'll explain the entire situation on the way there.

Me: The forest nearby the city? Is there a void rift over there?

Ezreal: Not for now, and I hope there isn't any on the way. It would only make things even worse than they already are.

He rushed to the main door and opened it, with me following him from behind with my armor now hidden below my skin. After coming out we directed ourselves to the back of a building, out of the public eye. Ezreal transformed into his Star Guardian form, got to admit here, he kinda looks good. I did the same as him and called for my armor to surround my body.

Gotta say it's a little weird that the guy in front of me transforms into his battle form by being surrounded by glitter and sparkles while I have to make a symbiotic void creature come out of my skin.

Setting that aside, we rushed to the rooftops and started jumping from one to another while he explained the situation.

Ezreal: Okay, to summarize what's going on lately, the void has been causing anomalies that happens to open portals to another world. And some creatures from that world are crossing over to our world and causing havoc.
