-Kai'sa POV-

I followed the hybrid guy through the forest. Though I have to admit that he was incredibly fast and agile, up to a level I've never seen before. Not even the fastest voidlings can move with such swiftness, maybe the flying ones can keep up, but even those would be instantly taken down by this guy. I don't know the whole extent of his abilities, but judging for what Ezreal told me, he is someone difficult to handle on my own.

Running behind him in the forest wasn't that difficult, at least for now, since I could easily keep up with the exhausted hybrid in front of me. He kept looking around while moving through the environment with so much ease, that it made it look like he knew the place up to the smallest rock.

This most likely proved to be true once he suddenly crouched and slid below the root of a tree that came out of the ground, disappearing from view. I went past the root, and he was nowhere to be seen. That meant that there was a hole below the tree root.

Me: He's underground... but if he's a voidwalker like me, it means I can follow his trail... Right?

With my helmet on, I started to scan the area in the search of a void energy source. I was trying to smell his essence so to speak, leading me to the discovery of a very intricated system of tunnels below me. His scent was everywhere, and that probably meant that he just moved all around the place in mere seconds.

Me: Guess I'll have to force him to come out.

I readied my turrets, charging them with energy to create a rain of guided missiles. If I can locate him directly, I'll just use these missiles to cover all the possible ground... underground. Sooner or later I would end up hitting him, assuming he was still there of course.

Then I heard it, the sound of a dying animal. Something like a deer was clearly making agonizing sounds with all their might, and I followed that sound.

Ignoring the trails of essence underground, I looked around following the sounds for 3 seconds at best, but that was enough for me to find what I was looking for. The guy was taking bites from the corpse of a green deer, making his muscles react and start to heat up.

I stood in place and readied my blades and the void energy inside me, just in time for him to finally notice me. He let go of his meal and turned around to see me, visually annoyed at my presence.

Me: Well, I guess this means that we are having a round two.

His muscles kept glowing, now showing ashes and cinders coming out of them...

Me: Maaaaaayyybeeee I shouldn't have let you eat that little deer.

The next moment, there was no roar, there was no warning. He just leaped forward to attack me in an instant, forcing me to use all the energy stored in my body to accelerate my movements, just to react in time to stop his razor-sharp claws from reaching me. My crystals managed to resist the powerful blow as I somehow stood my ground. But when I turned around to answer back, he disappeared in smoke and cinders. The trail went pass me and concentrated in my back, and when I turned around, I saw him reforming his body from the ashes and his claw just an inch away from my face. Then everything turned black...

-Third Person POV-

His view was flooded by an alternative reality, visions of the zones of the void where he spent several years of his life were on full display in front of him. And right in front of his feet, was the body of just another lost soul. He felt like he has been fighting this creature for hours, always adapting and working alongside another lost soul to take him down.

But he ran away, and after replenishing his energies with food, he used an improvised combination of his control over the void energy and the characteristics of the Ajanath and Odogaron's soul to create a whole new ability.
