-Third Person POV-

Everyone was already back, currently in Ahri's house. Those that were present during that moment were simply trying to make some sense out of everything they saw, creating a heavy and quiet mood around the house. All the Star Guardians were now present though, silently waiting for their current leader to come out to give them instructions.

On her side, Ahri was sitting in one of the chairs of the kitchen while Soraka was kneeling right in front of her, doing her best to heal her now burnt hands. Kai'sa was in the corner of the room, silently trying to internalize what just happened.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Luminaro were watching their daughter looking at her hands with empty eyes, remembering the same stare coming from her from the days after she lost her three friends.

Soraka: I... I can't completely heal them.

Mr. Luminaro: Why not?

Soraka: I don't, I don't know why. I just can't.

Mrs. Luminaro: Is she even going to be able to use her hands from now on?

Soraka: Barely, I think small things like writing or, I don't know, making herself a coffee is not going to be a problem. But she definitely can't do any kind of mayor effort with them.

Ahri: So, now I'm useless as a Star Guardian AND a Monster Hunter... *sigh* Thanks for trying Soraka.

The fox girl then glanced at the side, seeing her old friend in the corner of the room. She knew that Kai'sa was waiting there because she was worried about her injury, despite all her silence. Looking back at her parents and her friend, she gave them a little gesture to leave her alone with the Voidwalker.

They agreed and left the place in silence. Though Ahri gave them a small thankful smile before leaving completely. Then it was the moment to confront her old friend.

Ahri: You've been quiet all this time; how do you feel?

Kai'sa: Both happy and...

Ahri: And?

Kai'sa: Scared? I guess? I don't know how to describe it.

They both stayed silent for a moment before asking the first thing in their minds.

Kai'sa/Ahri: What's with the new powers?

They had moment of surprise before chuckling at the situation, then Ahri was the first one to talk.

Ahri: Look, I think the glitter and magical girl outfit sings a little too loudly what I am now. But what about you? What is that armor?

Kai'sa: Well, would you believe me if I told you that I have lived the last month inside the void?

Ahri: Not the first time I've heard that story. How did it happen?

Kai'sa: I was tricked by a weird illusion, then got absorbed into the rift, got attacked by a creature, I killed it and then it got stuck on my skin. Soon after I figured it was a symbiotic creature, I've been fusing with it since then, something like Venom, you know, the Spiderman villain. Just, without the constant intrusion of this thing to my mind, it's pretty much death right now.

Ahri: So, you are fused with the dead carcass of a void creature now?

Kai'sa: Kind off.

Ahri: Alright...

Another uncomfortable silence fell on the room. Ahri was just waiting for the big question, she knew that everything Kai'sa could think off at the moment was her brother and she couldn't really blame her for it. Though she was particularly worried about her hiding the guy's return to the world from her. After some other seconds filled with silence, the dreaded question finally came.
