Ch 45: The Best Psychologist Of Rhodes Island

A day later, in Lungmen.

Although he had mentally prepared himself before coming here, Lin Yie is still surprised when he lays his eyes on the city in front of him. 

Lungmen is way more advanced than what he had imagined; skyscrapers that pierce into the sky, and streets wide enough to accommodate cars and pedestrians. This is clearly an economically prosperous modern city. 

Compared to this, Chernobog is like a village.

Rangers asks, "First time here?"

"Yeah, I never had a chance to come here."

"Then, you need to take a good look around this time." Rangers smile, "Lungmen is way different from Chernobog, and this city develops very quickly. It wouldn't be wrong to call the difference night and day. Hmm, Lungmen's leader really has both foresight and power."

"Lungmen's leader?"

"Wei Yenwu. He is considered one of the best leaders in the world." Rangers says, 

"If there is a chance, you might be able to see him. I think you will be very surprised, but before that, just take care of Nightingale. She seems nervous."

Nightingale is sitting next to Lin Yie. She was sleeping, but she woke up some time ago. Now, she is just checking out the city. She seems curious and yet fearful too. 

She is curious because Lungmen is a brand new place for her after losing her memory. She is fearful because the streets are packed with strangers she had never met before. 

And she's scared of strangers.

Lin Yie tries to reassure her, but his words don't seem that effective, and she is ignoring him. Lin Yie asks Rangers, "Where are we going?"

"We are meeting Dr Kal'tsit." Rangers says, "Dr Kal'tsit has her own lab here in Lungmen. That's where we are going."

"And your mission?"

"That's our problem." Rangers glance at Nightingale, who is hugging her legs to minimize her presence, through the rear mirror, and says, "Another medic is waiting for us there. Just take care of this kid."

Lin Yie nods.

There are seven people in this car. Besides himself and Nightingale, the other five operators are a guard named Melantha, who is resting with her sword; an orange-haired girl with a black shield named Beagle, who is chewing her bubble gum;

another armoured personnel named Noir Corne, who nods at Lin Yie;
