Lin Yie had envisioned how he would meet the residents of the fourth floor but never had he thought he would meet them like this.

There is a naked woman behind him. It's something to cheer for, but the sword... Too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough, it seems ready to slice his head off in any second. That's not something he can be happy about.

Lin Yie raises his hands slowly, "This is just a misunderstanding."

She doesn't say anything or moves her sword.

"I am this floor's manager," Lin Yie carefully says, "And I am also Rhodes Island's psychologist. I am not your enemy."

She stays silent for a moment before saying in a soft voice, "Please excuse me for the property damage."

Her lack of concern for endangering his life sends another chill down his spine. She definitely cannot be judged with common sense.

Lin Yie begins to believe Ansel's words. The freaks on this floor really are not normal.

"Do you live here?" Lin Yie takes a deep breath and asks slowly, "Even though I don't know your name, as colleagues, I think we can converse without resorting to violence. I didn't know you came back... and when I saw the bloodstains on your clothes, I thought you are wounded. That's why I barged in. I'm sorry if I offended you."

She asks, "I don't remember this floor has a manager."

"I'm new here."

"Is that so?" She says in the same soft voice, "I thought Kal'tsit came."

Lin Yie pauses. What does Kal'tsit have to do with this?

Then, she pulls her sword out of the wall, along with the broken tiles and fragments of the wall. Lin Yie watches the debris fall like sand and rain on the floor. His heart is beating fast.

"That's not my blood," She says, "I was just taking a shower."

Lin Yie closes his eyes, "Alright, alright, I get it. I'm not looking at you. Can you please let me go?"

He's panicking. He wants to leave, but if he leaves with his eyes closed, he might bump into things he should never touch. If that happens, it's all over for him.

Lin Yie doesn't think he's the protagonist of some harem, nor did he ever get past the first base in this world. Harem protagonists would get into something spicy after some accidental touching, but he will probably just die.

"Uh, can you go to another stall first?" Lin Yie asks carefully, "I can't see anything."

When he hears that sword being stabbed into the floor again, Lin Yie gulps.

"Why leave? There are things to talk about."

"What do you want?"

"Not here," She thinks for a moment and says, "Take your clothes off."

Lin Yie pauses, at a loss for words.

...

Ten minutes later, Lin Yie's back inside his office. He looks at the clock.

I hope Yato won't be bad...

It's not that he wants to slack off. He really can't go right now.

Lin Yie sighs softly.

He's half-naked right now. Looking at the alluring sight on the couch, Lin Yie finds it hard to keep his calm.

"Don't you have other clothes?"

...

Her name is Skadi.

The first time he saw her face-to-face, Lin Yie almost gasped at her beauty.

Skadi is gorgeous. Her most obvious trait is that long grayish-white hair that reaches all the way down to her ankles. She has blood-red gem-like eyes, and she's really tall.

But there's one thing that baffles Lin Yie. Till now, he hasn't been able to find anything on her that resembles that of an animal. How's that possible?

Is she another human like me? That can't be. What kind of human female would have this kind of strength? And her eyes too.

Skadi is wearing Lin Yie's clothes right now, but she's not wearing any pants or underwear. She's just covering herself with a pillow.

But her long, well-proportioned legs are too alluring

But her long, well-proportioned legs are too alluring. Lin Yie shuts his eyes and turns his head away from her like a good little virgin.

"I don't have a room in Rhodes Island, at least not officially," Skadi says, "I only stay on this floor temporarily, so I don't have spare clothes here."

Lin Yie finally understands why Ptilopsis and Orchid told him not to stay here for too long...

Shit!

Lin Yie was distracted by his thoughts. Now there's this sudden urge welling up inside him. He reaches down to hide it, even though there's a desk between him and Skadi.

"Are you alright?" Skadi asks.

"Uh, I, I, I'm fine," Lin Yie shakes his head quickly and looks for an excuse, "I was thinking about what to do with the bathroom."

"Is that so? I apologize."

Lin Yie is stunned. He thought she's crazy or at least having some anger issues, but she's neither. Her speech is slow and gentle. Every word seems to have been well thought out. No matter how he thinks about it, she doesn't seem to be one of those crazy people.

He asks, "So... the person I saw last week was you?"

Skadi nods.

"Why didn't you come to my office?"

"No need," Skadi says in a soft voice, "I don't like socializing with people."

"Really?"

"Yes, I don't stay here often," Skadi says slowly, "My apologies, I'm not used to being interrogated."

"Uh, I was interrogating you," Lin Yie finds this a bit awkward, "Anyway, you said you have something to discuss with me?"

"Yes," Skadi nods, "But I want to be sure, you are this floor's manager?"

Lin Yie nods.

"Kal'tsit, no, Amiya gave this floor's access to you?"

"Basically," Lin Yie scratches his head, "But I actually don't have a lot of rights. I just work here and do some cleaning occasionally."

He waits for her to say something next, but Skadi doesn't. After waiting in awkward silence, Lin Yie asks, "Did you take my recruitment notice?"

Skadi nods.

"What about last week's notice?"

Skadi nods again.

Lin Yie finds this question a bit unrealistic, but he can't help but ask, "Why did you do it? Do you want to be my assistant?"

"No," Skadi says, "I only want this floor to be quiet."

Lin Yie pauses, at a loss for words.

Skadi looks at him with the same calm look, "I came here because of some special reasons, so I'm not part of Rhodes Island. I told Kal'tsit I would do the most dangerous missions. In exchange, I just want a place that's quiet and clean, where I can rest, even if it's just a small room with nothing in it, but now, even that is taken away from me."
