After listening to Ptilopsis's warning, Lin Yie asks, "What do you think would happen, if the dream world changes?"

"Ptilopsis is not equipped for the task."

"Alright," Lin Yie nods, "I'll keep that in mind."

"There is another important point," Ptilopsis says, "That is..."

"Un, what?"

Ptilopsis suddenly stopped talking.

Lin Yie waves his hand in front of her face. Then, he realizes that she's asleep.

"..."

Considering that Ptilopsis probably stayed up all night to make the plan, Lin Yie decides to give her a pass this time.
...

Forty minutes later, Shining and Nearl arrived. Hibiscus also returned with Lava.

Everyone is in the living room now.

"It seems we all had trouble falling asleep," Nearl looks toward Lin Yie and asks, "How's your preparation?"

Lin Yie gives Ptilopsis's laptop to Shining, "This is Ptilopsis's plan. I already memorized the steps."

Hibiscus asks nervously, "When do we start?"

"We don't have to rush." Shining shakes her head.

Lin Yie is bewildered like everyone else, "What do you mean?"

"Dr. Lin," Shining asks him, "Do you have anything to say to Liz?"

Lin Yie shakes his head slowly.

He doesn't know what he should say to Nightingale at this point.

"If there is, now is the time," Shining says, "Liz's recovery depends on you now. If---"

Lin Yie cuts her off, "I'm ready."

Shining stares at Lin Yie for a few seconds. Then, she nods slowly, "Then, let's do it."

...

Nearl and Shining have left to check on Nightingale's condition. Hibiscus is preparing the medicine, and Lava is moving the lab equipment to Nightingale's room.

Lin Yie thought about following Nearl and Shining, but there's something he needs to do first.

He knocks on Ptilopsis head gently.

Ptilopsis opens her eyes slowly and says, "Operator Ptilopsis extends her greet..."

*Yawn*

Lin Yie shakes her shoulders, "Wake up. What did you want to tell me just now? You said it's important."

"Just now?" Ptilopsis asks, "Important?" She thinks for a moment. Then, she shakes her head, "Unable to find relevant results."

"... Did you forget?"

"Ptilopsis never forgets," Ptilopsis corrects him, "The only possible error is the system deleting files by mistake."

"..."

...

Twenty minutes later, everything is ready.

Lin Yie stands in Nightingale's room and watches the sleeping beauty. This reminds him of the first time he came to this room, when Nightingale just held onto his hands, too afraid to speak up, but afraid of letting him go.

It feels like a dream.

"Dr. Lin," Shining whispers behind him, "Can you start?"

Lin Yie returns to reality. He takes a deep breath and walks up to Nightingale's bed.

Even though no one brought this up, Lin Yie is going to have as much time as he needs. No one is going to wake Nightingale up prematurely. That means, if Lin Yie takes too much time or if he fails, Nightingale will suffer much more than before. Therefore, this may very well be the last treatment.

He must succeed.

What happens afterward... nobody knows.

"Data restoration complete," Ptilopsis suddenly says.

Lin Yie pauses. He turns his head instinctively toward Ptilopsis

Ptilopsis says, "Reminder from Operator Ptilopsis, Dr. Lin, you must remember that no matter what you see in the dream world, it comes from Ms. Liz's dream, not anyone else's."

Lin Yie doesn't understand, but before he can ask, his hand is already on Nightingale.

...

Darkness disappeared as quickly as it set in.

He's back inside the tunnel.

Lin Yie clenches his teeth out of frustration.

That damn bird!

Nevertheless, he starts moving right away.

...

Dodged the Sarkaz from behind.

Got inside the dungeon.

Grabbed the keys.

Unlocked the prisoners' cells without alerting the guards.

Put the poop buckets in the corridor.

Uncovered the poop buckets.

...

Lin Yie listens to the cursing from the Sarkaz prison guards, who are complaining about the stench, and times his next move.

Now!

Lin Yie takes a torch from the wall and unlocks Liz's cell quickly.

"Liz," He whispers to the shivering girl, "I'm back."
