Lin Yie doesn't understand what is happening to him right now.

The night is beautiful. The moon is round and full. And there is a gorgeous devil girl next to him. It should have been a great opening scene, but then suddenly a plane crashed into him.

The spinning blades slice through the glass panels like a hot knife through butter and create sparks when they hit the floor. As the blades break apart on impact, the main body of the helicopter crashes inside the building violently.

Lin Yie clenches his teeth, as he pulls Nightingale away. Fortunately, the helicopter is not too large. It stops when it is four or five meters inside. Black smoke rises from the plane.

Lin Yie lets go of Nightingale and pulls a glass shard out of his back. He grits his teeth and slowly pulling one by one out of his back. Blood and bits of flesh splatter on the floor. His clothes now drenched with his own blood. After he finished pulling the shards, he is breathing shakily, his hand on the wall to help him balance himself.

"...Hah...Hah... Are you hurt Liz?" he asks.

Nightingale watches in horror as blood spills from Lin Yie's back, "Pine-Pineapple Bun..." She tries to use her Healing Art on him. But when she raises her staff, her mouth can't recite the incantation. Her body trembles involuntarily.

"I-It okay... This is but just a scratch..." he didn't want to make her worry but he isn't sound convincing on how shaky his voice is.

Lin Yie understands now why she failed the tests before, but this is not the time to think about that.

That was no accident. Lin Yie saw the pilot's headless body in the helicopter before it crashed.

It is obvious that the corpse wasn't operating it, but Lin Yie doesn't have time to find the culprit that did it.

At this moment, around ten shadows suddenly enter the building from above through where the helicopter crashed. Their movements are swift like trained soldiers. They are wearing white masks and carrying black crossbows on their backs.

"Run!" Lin Yie pulls Nightingale with him as he struggles to move. His body begs for him to stop but he doesn't listen.

He doesn't know who these people are or what they are doing here but the way they came is definitely not a good sign. Especially for him and Liz.

Lin Yie prefers using the elevator to stairs. The elevator is closer to them and on the top floor with them.

However, he intuitively pulls Nightingale towards the stairs anyway. Called it his gut feeling.

A few seconds later, his decision is proven right. The elevator explodes in massive flames, and the blast easily breaks through the steel elevator door. The sudden rise of temperature almost burns Lin Yie's clothes off.

The intruders already noticed Lin Yie and Nightingale. They fired several arrows at the two, but somehow, they missed.

Lin Yie doesn't know if he is lucky or those intruders are just bad at shooting overall. But he doesn't the luxury to think that now.

When they manage to reach the stairs, they both sprint down like madmen.

Soon, he sees the guards from the Lungmen Guard Department.

"What happened?!" A guard asks when he sees Lin Yie and Nightingale come down the stairs, but before Lin Yie can answer the guard, an axe suddenly beheads the guard and his colleagues in seconds.

A fat man in a thick protective suit walks out of the shadow. Blood drips down his axe. He raises it again to kill his new victims. Lin Yie have good who are they.

"Fuck!" Lin Yie runs away with Nightingale

"Fuck!" Lin Yie runs away with Nightingale.

But they stop running after going down another two floors. Lin Yie can still run, but Nightingale can't. She seems to lose her breath now. She can't move quickly, because oripathy affects her legs. Lin Yie didn't realize that until he saw that her shoes were gone and the swelling on her feet. He is out of ideas, but here comes another masked man.

Lin Yie stands in front of Nightingale and takes a deep breath.

"Pin-Pine-Pineapple Bun?"

In his previous life, he learned martial arts and won numerous awards.

He won third place for gymnastics in elementary school.

He won the encouragement award for running three miles in middle school.

And he won the honourable membership in his college gym.

The years of martial arts experience taught Lin Yie that he needs to be imposing before a fight!

"Ha!"

He yells. The masked man pauses, clearly surprised by the skinny man's courage. Lin Yie takes the opportunity to wipe out his gun and shoots the man right in the head.

The other lesson he learned from years of experience is that never brings a sword to a gunfight. Fists can't beat guns! Especially when he has a gun.

Of course, Lin Yie doesn't expect to kill every intruder with his puny python. The intruders have crossbows, which are not inferior to his gun by any means.

However, he can't keep running. With Nightingale's condition, they will be caught sooner or later and running without a direction or knowing how many intruders there are will just send them into their enemies' trap. So, they hide inside a room.

Nightingale is shaking in fear right now.

Lin Yie tries to reassure the trembling Nightingale, "I am calling for reinforcement now. So don't worry, okay."

Lin Yie takes out his phone.

There are not only guards from the Lungmen Guard Department but also the operators from Rhodes Island. He dials the number from Kal'tsit and expects it to reach Rhodes Island, but to his surprise, he hears an energetic voice from the other side.

"Thank you for calling Penguin Logistics! For meal delivery, please press 1. For cargo delivery, please press 2. For smuggling goods, please add more money. For complaints, please hang up."

(...What?)
