Even when he is having supper, Lin Yie is still thinking about the silhouette in the corridor.

"I shouldn't be mistaken." He mumbles to himself, "My sight is still fine."

Nightingale moves on to her third pineapple bun. Her mouth is covered with bread crumbs.

Lin Yie asks, "Liz, did you see anyone?"

"When?"

"Umm, before the elevator door closed." Lin Yie says, "I think I saw someone in the corridor. Did you?"

Nightingale shakes her head.

"That's weird. Am I really mistaken?" Lin Yie mumbles, "Or perhaps, the residents are back already? But Amiya said they are running errands outside."

Nightingale ignores his monologue.

At the moment, they are the only ones left in the cafeteria. The chef left after preparing the food for them. Lin Yie checks the time. It's 9:30 PM right now. Time really flies. He finishes his rice porridge and wipes his mouth, "Come on, Liz. I will walk you back."

Nightingale nods. She takes her half-finished pineapple bun and follows him.

Lin Yie is still thinking about that mysterious silhouette. He wants to take another look, but if they were really a resident of the fourth floor, it would be reckless of him to approach them like that. Amiya did say those are some reclusive people. Approaching them at night doesn't sound rational, and he doesn't want to die yet. He should just walk Nightingale back first.

Nightingale suddenly speaks, "Pineapple Bun, is your dream really cleaning?"

"Of course not." Lin Yie says lightly, "My dream is having a sugar mama, alright."

".... What is a sugar mama?"

Lin Yie is bored, so he explains the term to her.

Soon, they are back in front of her dorm. Hibiscus is standing next to the door, waiting for Nightingale's return.

"Thank you for your hard work, Dr. Lin." Hibiscus takes Nightingale's hand and smiles.

Rather than her initial fear and reclusiveness, the current Nightingale can somewhat accept people who have been taking care of her, such as Hibiscus. That's a huge step forward, but unfortunately, she still can't remember their names.

"Shining Onee-chan is going to be back soon." Hibiscus tells Lin Yie, "She will be very happy to see how much Liz has changed."

Lin Yie nods, "It's all because of you."

"Dr. Lin really knows how to talk. We will take over from here then." Hibiscus turns to Liz, "Time to sleep, Liz." But Nightingale doesn't budge.

Lin Yie sighs, "I will wake you up tomorrow morning."

Only then does Nightingale follow Hibiscus inside. When she is in her room, she suddenly asks Hibiscus, "Hibiscus, can you give me money?"

"What do you need money for?"

"I want to be a sugar mama."

When he sees Nightingale is inside her room, Lin Yie walks away. He feels like her guardian, and Nightingale is his cat, or precisely, his kitten, because when a kitten grows up, it doesn't stick to people as much. The Nightingale right now feels like a three or four months old kitten that loves sticking to her owner. There are pros and cons. One of the cons is causing him a lot of troubles, and he can't get much done. On the other hand... Nightingale is cute like the cats he used to have.

But kittens grow up. He's not sure how Nightingale will turn out...

Then, he remembers the voices.

"Why do you know my name?"

"You are a spy!"

"You really are getting me out?"

"I can't heal myself. I need to save my strength for my kins."

"Rhodes Island's Nightingale, Sarkaz's Liz. If we consider her as two different persons, then everything is clear. Rhodes Island's Nightingale has always been there. She doesn't know where she is from or where she wants to go. And Sarkaz's Liz... has probably been kept in that tunnel all these years and unable to leave."

It's a peaceful evening, but he doesn't want to go back to his dorm yet. He won't be able to sleep anyway. When he is about to take a walk, he sees a familiar silhouette. He runs towards it.

"It's late at night. Do you still want to train?" Yato looks at Lin Yie, "Where's your sword?"

"Uh, it's in my room." He says, "I'll get it now."

"No need." Yato shakes her head, "Just use one of the practice swords in the training room, but remember to bring your word with you. It's a weapon, not a decoration."

Lin Yie is embarrassed, "Sorry."

"Don't apologize." Yato takes a practice sword and points it at him, "I have never taught a pure human before. Show me what you can do."

Lin Yie takes a deep breath and lifts his practice sword up, "Then, here I come!"

...

Thirty minutes later, Lin Yie is lying on the ground. His clothes are soaked with sweat.

Yato stands next to him and sheathes her sword.

Lin Yie lifts his head up slightly, "My talent..."

"One of the worst I've seen." Yato says bluntly, "To be frank, you are not suited for swordsmanship. You should reconsider your decision."

Lin Yie smiles bitterly, "Don't discourage me like. I will work hard."

After a moment of silence, Lin Yie asks, "Do you know Sarkaz warriors?"

"Of course." Yato says, "Sarkaz's are born fighters. Among all races, nobody can best Sarkaz in terms of fighting strength."

"If I want to beat one, is it possible?"

"Even I don't have the confidence in defeating a Sarkaz in a one-on-one fight."

One-on-one? No. He needs to defeat more than one for her.

"Again!"

...

Translator's Notes

I can't tell if Lin Yie is serious about having a sugar mama. He is, after all, a bit irritated when Nightingale keeps twisting his words.
