* short *

You ran as fast as you can, you were a girl all alone and lost. You tried to escape the area where Nazi soldiers had invaded you home and village, you ran into the forest hoping and hoping that they wouldn't find you. Your mom and dad weren't in the village at the time as they were in another, however you were worried for your older brother who stayed to defend the village. He wasn't a soldier, in fact a baker, a very strong one. He stayed to join the fight, but he didn't

Allow you to stay and he forced you to run away as fast as you could, not even having enough time to gather things you need. You ran and ran further and deeper into the snowy forest, your light blue dress and white apron becoming dirty, your white tights were now stretched, your dark orange leather boots becoming wrinkled. You kept running, you looked at the bracelet in your hand, made of string and yarn and a rock, the bracelet your older brother gave you just in case

You'd never see him again. Your braids started to fall out not completely, you ripped off your white bandana and wrapped the bracelet and shoved it in your pocket as you kept running. You were now deep in the forest, however you accidentally tripped over and down a couple of rocks, you groaned in pain as your elbow started to bruise. You had no time to waste and stood up and continued to run, all the way up to a long lake, you sighed in relief, anyone in the town knew

that if you reached the lake, you had definitely gone far away from where home was. You walked up to the lake, and scooped some of the cold water onto your bruise, you sighed in relief. However you saw the sun was going down so you started to panic and decided to run some more, you kept running and running however the more you did you heard the sounds of soldiers voices and foot steps from their feet stamping on the snow. All of a sudden you saw

You stopped dead in your tracks, something didn't feel right. You felt the presence of soldiers near by, all of a sudden you heard a man, a Russian man scream " you will not kill my children, I won't let you!! " The Russian accent echoed in your ears. You hid in a near by bush and hid and peaked your eyes to see the commotion. You saw a tall Russian man, a father specifically, covering 4 children, it seemed like he was trying to escape Nazi invaded lands however it came to a halt due to 3 Nazi soldiers  blocking him and his Children's way to freedom.

You felt sick and awful for them, one soldier standing a bit away from the scene holding a Gewehr 43. You noticed how he kept looking around the area instead of focusing on the current situation, he was detecting any hidden attack that might come. He almost made eye contact with you until you ducked your head quietly again. You peaked through the bush to see now he was focused on the other direction. You looked back to see the other 2 soldiers, one was silent as the other kept mocking and laughing at the defenseless family. Your brother

Had always taught you to be brave, think smart and fast, he taught you how to use a few guns, and taught you what machine guns, rifles, and other guns the Nazi's used. He even taught you how to disarm someone if they had one and they were unaware. You were always afraid of many things at a young age, but however thanks to mainly your older brother. He taught you how to be brave, and with the courage and confidence you knew you could make it out alive through anything. You sighed quietly as you then thought about your plan, " You sick monster!

I won't let you hurt any of us, not my children " The Russian man yelled as the Nazi guard continued to laugh and mock him " well who's going to save you hm? It's best you let us take your children and let us kill you here " The manic soldier said, his German accent making it sound like he reduced the emotional value of his words, meaning no cruel intention. However you knew that was a lie and so did the father, his expression changed from defensive desperation. To anger, an anger of pure hatred and resentment towards the men who stood
