The morning sunlight streams into my room, an unusual thing in my room. Usually, my body wakes me up in time for school, or mostly in time for school. I hear someone humming a soft, lovely melody while getting ready. The person sits next to me and strokes my hair.
"Wake up, Draco," Sasha whispers. I stir and open my eyes. The first thing I see is Sasha's gorgeous hazel eyes.
"Mm, good morning," I say, kissing her cheek. Sasha helps me out of bed and fixes her new butterfly earrings. She plays with the promise ring I got her, smiling. I fix my tie and get ready to leave. Blaise spots us walking out of my dorm together and does a double-take.
"Did you do the quietest shagging ever?" Blaise asks and Sasha hits his arm.
"Really, Zabini?" I ask and he laughs. We make our way to breakfast. Daphne and Theo Nott seem to be yelling at each other across the table.
"I spy with my little eye something that starts with S," Blaise jokes.
"Sexual tension?" Sasha asks and Blaise nods, chuckling.
"God, they're worse than Diara and Cameron were," I whisper to Sasha, who nods. She seems a bit uneasy. Harry waves her over, and she goes, shooting me an apologetic smile before sitting down with them.
"Oi, you feel one-upped by Potter?" Adrian Pucey asks, nudging me. I shoot him a look. Blaise laughs, finishing his food before getting up. I head over to Sasha. She nods along with Potter, and Hermione hands her a book.
"Thanks, 'Mione. Oh, hey. I'll see you later, Harry?" Sasha asks, getting up.
"Yeah," Harry scowls at the sight of me. I give him a look. Sasha rolls her eyes.
"Remember what I said," Harry says before Sasha leaves.
"What? That I'm some sort of bad guy, Potter? That I'll hurt her and turn you filthy Gryffindors in!" I bark. Sasha winces at the argument.
"I'm trying to protect my cousin, Malfoy. Not put her in danger like you!" Harry matches my height.
"Oh my god, can you two put your swelling egos aside PLEASE?" Sasha yells and we both stare at her.
"Sorry," Harry mutters.
"Yeah," I mutter back, shooting Potter one more venomous glare. Sasha picks up her new messenger bag and heads out to Potions. I follow her, hoping to apologize, but dang she walks fast.
"Sasha," I pant, walking faster to keep up. Sasha opens the book Hermione gave her and reads while walking.
"Sasha!" Sasha turns around and smiles.
"Sorry, I was lost in thought," Sasha puts the book away as we arrive. Professor Slughorn smiles at Sasha.
"Good morning, Miss Dail-Myers and Mr. Malfoy!" Professor says chiperly.
"Good morning, Professor," We both say before sitting. Sasha pulls out a pair of purple glasses.
"I didn't know you had glasses," I smirk and pull them off Sasha. She gives me a look and I quickly give them back. She can be scary sometimes.
"I'm out of contacts. Plus, these are ten times more comfortable," Sasha cleans them as everyone else files in. Professor Slughorn beings a lecture when Mr. Chosen One Potter opens the door. He's not in this class.
"Pardon me, Professor. But Dumbledore needs Sasha for a moment," Harry looks at Sasha. Sasha walks out of the classroom, seeming a bit nervous.
After a moment, I raise my hand. "May I be excused, Professor?" I ask. Professor Slughorn nods while continuing his lecture on the use of certain ingredients in Amortentia. I rush out of the classroom, looking for Sasha when I hear a scream. I follow the sound to a small closet. I break the door open to find Sasha sitting on the floor, crying.
"Love what's wrong.." Sasha stands up.
"YOU! YOU TWO FACED LIAR!" Sasha points her wand at my throat, tears streaming down her face.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"You knew where my father was all along, didn't you, Draco? He was held hostage IN YOUR VERY HOUSE! Did you know that?! Oh I bet you did!" Sasha presses the wand closer to my throat.
"I didn't I swear! This is all news to me, Sasha, I promise," Sasha sees the look in my eyes and lowers her wand. She runs into my arms, crying.
"Dumbledore told me...they found him...in your house..." Sasha sobs. What?!
"What?! How long had he been there?" I ask, enraged.
"Since I got to Hogwarts in July. They..." Sasha cries some more. "They killed...my...mom. Right in..front of him...to get him..to...tell...Him...where...I was.." Sasha cries more and I walk her to my dorm. She sits on my bed, still crying. I held her hand while wiping away the tears. She sips at some water, shaking from being so upset.
"I'll be back," I accio Sasha's favorite Starbucks drink, what cheered her up after the metal breakdown last year. She sees it and laughs a bit.
"It seemed to cheer you up last time," I hand her the drink and watch as she sips away.
"Thank you, Draco. I don't know what I would do without you," Sasha wipes her eyes for the last time and offers me some. I politely decline. Sasha sits in silence, not moving much. Then, she gets up.
"I have to go," She kisses my cheek. "Thanks for making me feel better," I grab her hand before she goes.
"Where are you going?" I ask. "And why now?"
"I can't just sit around and wait for my dad to come home, Draco. I need to get him out," Sasha says.
"Are you an idiot?! That house is swarming with people out for you! You'll be dead the second you set foot in there!" I cry. Sasha rolls her eyes.
"That's where you're wrong. Unlike Harry, I'm not impulsive. I know how to get in and out without a hitch," Sasha holds up a vial of Polyjuice.
"How'd you get that?" I ask, stunned.
"Oh easy, I had Hermione snag me some in case I needed it. You have to let me go, Draco," Sasha pleads.
"No," I say firmly. Sasha looks at me with a glare so deep it cut me.
"Well, he's my dad, and I have to save him. I'm sorry if that makes no sense to you, but I really don't care," Sasha tries to leave but I grip her arm tighter.
"Draco, let me go," Sasha says as calmly as she can.
"No. I won't let you hurt yourself. You're all I have, Sasha," Tears stream down my cheek. Sasha looks at me with tears of her own.
"I can't let my father stay down there and fade away. I CAN'T! HE WOULD DIE FOR ME AND MY BROTHER, DRACO! JUST LIKE MY MOTHER!" Sasha yells, still crying. She takes out her wand.
"I'm sorry," Sasha's voice breaks. "Stupify," She points it at me, and I fly back. Sasha apparates away, tears still pouring out of her eyes.
A/N: Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had an idea for this chapter, then deleted it. Happy New Year everyone! I wish you all a safe, happy, and healthy new year <3 :)
