Night 11: Sasha

I wasn't intending to find all the answers to the questions boiling in my head today. In fact, I was perfectly content thinking they were drunken thoughts and deciding to never drink again. But, it all happened so fast.

I walked out of the mall, put in my earbuds, and let low, soft, Lofi music drift in my ears like a soft wind. Jenson used to play this a lot in his room, and I would sit silently outside his door for hours being comforted by the gentle music. It was like an old friend to me, always there to calm me.

I walked to the childhood park I played at for hours on end while Jenson was at whatever pee-wee sports practice he was attending that day. I would run and play in the playground or run on the grass. As I got older, and the kids who would be there at the same time got meaner, I would take a picnic blanket, some snacks, and a good book and lay in the grass. Sometimes I would sit under a tree, but most of the time, it was in a small patch of grass that had the perfect amount of sunlight.

I walked on the grass until I began to fall into a deep, dark pit. I screamed, the music in my ears stopping. I landed in somewhere I didn't recognize. It was well lit and strangely decorated, with many books, different types of lights, and a big cauldron with a black liquid.

"What the-," I ask. The man from my dreams approached me.

"Do not be alarmed. You are safe here." He said.

"D-Dumbledore?" I asked.

"Yes, it is me. It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Miss Myers. Your father and mother have gone on and on about you and your brother." Dumbledore smiled, making me feel at home.

"I'm sure you are confused as to how and why you are here," Dumbledore said as if he read my mind. "Sasha, you and Jenson are not Muggles or people born without magic in their blood. In fact, you are a Pureblood, both of your parents have full magical blood." Dumbledore showed me to a small reading corner, somewhere that instantly makes me feel at home. He opened a thick book and flipped through the pages until he found my family name.

"Ah yes, the Myers-Evans. Your mother is the unknown sister of Lily Potter, the mother of the famous Harry Potter." Dumbledore explained, and my mouth dropped open.

The story Dad used to tell me was true?!

"Wow, okay. Is Jenson here?" I asked Dumbledore.

"He left a while ago, but he knows the same as you." Dumbledore smiled at me.

"Oh one more thing." Dumbledore's smile faded. "Mr. Malfoy is from here as well. He has the whole Wizarding World going crazy trying to find him after he disappeared." Dumbledore said, and my mouth once again fell open like a broken glove compartment.

"Draco...is...he's a WIZARD?" I asked in pure shock.

Dumbledore shows me the Malfoy section of the big book. I read about his family. The word DEATHEATERS caught my eye.

"What's that?" I asked Dumbledore.

"A purely dangerous group of people working for Voldemort, the man that killed Harry's parents." The word Voldemort sent an intense chill down my spine. Back when Dad would tell this story to me, I was always scared of Voldemort. Dad described him in such a grotesque, but accurate matter that made me dive under my blankets.

"Is Draco..." I drifted off.

"He left before he could become one." Dumbledore explained and I breathe a sigh of relief. "But his family members are all DeathEaters." I look down.

"So he ran away from home?" I clarified. Dumbledore nodded and hands me a missing persons poster.

MISSING:

DRACO LUCIUS MALFOY

IF FOUND TAKE HIM TO MALFOY MANOR

$15,000 GALLEON REWARD

I was speechless. I always knew Draco was different, but this was a whole other level. I used to call him "my alien" but I never knew he actually was one!

"One day, you will come to Hogwarts. One day soon." Dumbledore said as the world began to fade away. The poster was still in my hands when I returned to land.

I sprinted to Diara's house and opened the door.

"Sasha!" Draco scoops me up in his arms but I push away.

"YOU!" I scream, my body filled with rage, confusion, shock, and genuine concern all at once.

"Me?" Draco asks.

"I know everything, Draco Malfoy. Everything." I seeth and shove the missing person poster in his face. His mouth drops open so far, it may have touched the floor.

If looks could kill, Draco would have been dead from the deep-rooted glare I was giving him.

"I can explain." Draco stutters.

"Please, try and explain that YOU LITERALLY LIED TO MY FACE FOR FOUR MONTHS." I yell. I don't even let him respond. I run outside, my emotions taking full control.

"Sasha wait!" Draco grabs my wrist so I can face him.

"I'm sorry, okay? I didn't know what people knew about the Wizarding World, and I didn't want to scare you,"

"I'm a Pureblood." I blurt out.

Draco's eyes widen. "You're a what now?" He asks, flabbergasted.

"A Pureblood, just like you. My mother was the unknown sister of Lily Evans, Harry Potter's mother." I say. Draco says nothing. He turns around and walks back to his house without looking back once.

I start to cry.

All because of me falling through that stupid hole did Draco leave me! I ran home, but not before peering into Draco's window. A swift movement of pink flew into his living room and pressed him against the wall.

I was speechless. Of course that's what happened, he wanted Hakeema, not me! I storm inside.

"Wow, Draco. I guess you two low lives deserve each other after all." I spit and run home.

Tears flooded my eyes, and I couldn't breathe. Every breath was harder than the last as I choked out sob after sob after sob. I thought I could trust him, but no.

My world came crashing down and broke like glass into thousands of tiny shards that I can never put back together.
