Before we enter this chapter, you may be wondering: who am I? Who is this narrator?
Well, I'm a lot of people.
I'm a combination of everyone in Sasha and Draco's life that has passed away. I allow insight into both of their minds, I know what both of them are thinking every minute of every day. I see the dreams, their nightmares, their greatest desires.
I can also see the present, like right now. Which looks grim for both of them.
Draco wakes up in the Malfoy Dungeon. Confused, he tries to stand up, but before he can get on his feet, his aunt thrusts him to his feet, her wand at his throat.
"NO!" Sasha screams. She tries to run to Draco but is held back by Peter Pettigrew and Yaxley.
"Well well well, talking when it comes to him, don't you?" Bellatrix cackles. Sasha has tears streaming down her face, she couldn't handle this.
"You can poison me, torture me, drain every ounce of energy and love in my soul. But please, don't hurt him," Sasha sobs. Bellatrix looks intrigued, she should have thought about using Draco as leverage sooner.
"Alright then, give us what we want, then Young Malfoy walks free," Bellatrix proposes, but Sasha was too smart for that.
"Let Draco go first, then I'll start talking," Sasha counters. Bellatrix sighs and releases her grip on Draco.
"Don't do this, Sasha!" Draco cries but Sasha remains calm as Draco gets taken back upstairs. Yaxley puts his hands on the back of Sasha's neck.
"Where is your father?" Bellatrix points her wand at Sasha.
"What's your infatuation with my father? Why is he of such interest to you?" Sasha asks. Clearly, she's missing parts of the story.
Bellatrix cackles as Yaxley shoves her into a cell. "Clearly your father never told you this story. Shame really, it's a sweet one," Bellatrix says sarcastically.
"Much before you or your pathetic brother were born, your father was a DeathEater. And a mighty good one at that. However, he faked his death, causing The Dark Lord to remove the magic from his Dark Mark. It faded, and he lived the life he wanted, with you and your family," Bellatrix began. Sasha listens intently, her own father, a DeathEater? Why?
"When your father left you, it wasn't for Potter. It was because The Dark Lord had found out about you and him," Bellatrix's stare cut through Sasha and she could feel it in her soul.
"He and your mother hid out in the depths of the Wizarding World until we found them. Your mother perished, yet another tragedy. A preventable one, if he had told us where you were. Yaxley had used Polyjuice Potion to find you in your school, it was only a matter of time before we have you where you are now," Bellatrix cackles at the end of her story. Sasha struggles against her restraints, but they only get tighter.
"So, what are you going to do with me?" Sasha asks. "You can't kill me,"
Yaxley laughs loudly. "She's a smart one," He smiles sinisterly. Bellatrix waves her wand and Sasha slowly starts to close her eyes. They were going to drain her powers.
"Sweet dreams," Bellatrix laughs victoriously, and that was the last thing Sasha heard.
Meanwhile, Draco was trying to get back into the dungeon, but his efforts were pointless. The doors were locked with so many magical enchantments, it would take him hours to get in.
"Son, what are you doing?" Lucius asks Draco as he attempts to open the door again.
"What does it look like?" Draco snaps. Lucius drags Draco away from the door.
"That girl deserves to be down there," Lucius spits, and it took everything in Draco to not hex his own father.
"That girl is the love of my life. She doesn't deserve to be down there! She was willing to give up what you needed!" Draco screams, near tears. Lucius makes a sort of growling sound and shoves Draco into his room, locking it with the same enchantments as the dungeon door. The Vanishing Cabinet was in there, begging Draco to work on it.
And that's what he did, for hours until he heard a scream and a cackle.
"SASHA!" Draco bangs on his door, but it might as well have been bolted shut. With every push, the stream of tears down Draco's face doubles. Eventually, he was able to completely push the door down. Feeling the adrenaline coursing through his veins, Draco bursts open the second door leading to the dungeon.
Sasha lay, almost as pale as a ghost on the floor of the dungeon in a cell. Draco covers his mouth, could she be dead? He throws open the cell door and checks her pulse.
She's still alive. Draco sighs, relieved, and apparates the two back to his room. He makes a comfortable bed in his enormous closet, thinking that for the time being, until Theo would come this weekend, that Sasha would be safest here. Draco puts special spells on his now fixed door to alert him whenever some enters so he can nurse Sasha back to health without anyone finding out.
"It'll be alright, darling," Draco whispers. "One day, it will all be over. We'll be happy together, just like you want. One day soon," He strokes Sasha's hair and waits, never leaving her side.
Evan was right, Sasha shouldn't have left.
A/N: Sorry for posting late, school has been keeping me busy.
As for Evolution, I will be posting it on Saturdays now. Since I'll be free Fridays-Sundays, I'll try to do double updates here and a chapter or two of Evolution.
Thanks for understanding. Love you guys!! Can't believe this is my 75th chapter, it's insane.
