Last night's rain turns into this morning's snow as I stare out of my window blankly. I couldn't sleep, there were too many thoughts. Too many voices.
Today is Christmas, and the day I find out if I'm returning to Hogwarts for another term. I do hope I go back. Although there are people (ahem Potter) that I can't tolerate, I have my friends there, and Sasha of course.
Sasha's still asleep. She lightly stirs, facing my side of the bed now, but she's still asleep. She keeps getting up in the middle of the night, sometimes to pace my room, sometimes she leaves, other times she stays awake reading until she falls asleep. Why won't she tell me what's wrong?
Sasha finally wakes up. "Morning," She says, stretching. I slide in next to her, wrapping my arms around her.
"Merry Christmas," I whisper, and Sasha smiles.
"You too," She says, kissing my cheek before closing her eyes again.
"Why did you get up again?" I ask. Sasha keeps her eyes closed.
"Nightmare," She replies, snuggling closer to me. Suddenly, Diara throws open the door and saunters in with Theo and Blaise.
"Get up it's Christmas!" Diara announces and Sasha tosses a pillow at her. Theo and Blaise make an "ooh" sound before they begin a full on pillow fight. Sasha wacks the crap out of Diara until she begs for mercy.
"Okay okay I'm sorry!" Diara laughs. Sasha helps her sister up and hugs Theo and Blaise.
"I got you all presents," Sasha hands each of us a box. Diara's is a nameplate necklace that changes color based on mood, Theo and Blaise both got cool "Bad Boy" sweaters. It was my turn. The box was medium sized and perfectly square. I unwrap the wrapping paper, and there is a watch. A gorgeous one, with our hands together as the hour hand. The metal around it was engraved with the words "Hold on to me as we go down this unfamiliar road. Just know you're not alone."
"I love it," I hug her tightly and Sasha smiles.
"The engravings are the lyrics from a song," Sasha explains and Diara nods, confirming that. I hand Sasha her present. She opens it and sees the collection of books I got her.
"How did you know I wanted these?" She asks, happily scanning the titles. Diara waves and Sasha laughs.
"Thank you, love," She kisses my cheek and we all head downstairs.
Isabella and Ezra got me a present as well. A set of expensive green cufflings, which were amazing. Everyone decorated the tree and had a good time. Theo and Blaise wore their matching sweaters almost all day until we decide to go out for lunch.
