Sasha,
Simply put, I miss you. Every second here feels like a day without you by my side, making me smile and telling me everything will be alright. I'm praying that this will all be over soon.
Theo Nott is with me, making this trip a tad bit easier. While I do wish you were here with all my heart, I would rather have you be safer at Hogwarts.
Speaking of safety, they're looking for you, and I'm scared. My aunt thinks that you know where your father is and wants you to tell them. I know you don't know where he is, but no one will believe me. My father has escaped Azkaban. All in all, things are bad.
I miss you every second. I have the storybook next to me at all times so I can feel your love near me. Stay safe, Sasha. It won't be long now.
Love,
Draco
I hand the letter to Perseus to deliver to Sasha, hoping this letter will go through. Father has been blocking any letters not authorized by him to be sent out of the Manor. Thankfully, Perseus makes it past the Manor's border, meaning there's no stopping him. I smile, accomplished, and spend the rest of the day fixing the Vanishing Cabinet, avoiding Father, Bellatrix, and everyone else here. Someone knocks at the door.
"Who is it?" I ask, slightly scared.
"Just me, my son," Mother says softly. I smile a bit and open the door. She looks so tired. I hear Yaxley cackle from somewhere nearby, making Mother cringe. I let her into my room and she starts to pick up some of my loose clothes.
"Everything alright?" I ask her cautiously. She smiles sadly at me.
"Yes, dear. Just fine. I was going to say we got a letter from Sasha today," I jump off my bed after hearing that. Mother chuckles, muttering something about young love.
"Can I see it, please?" I ask. Mother hands me an evergreen envelope.
Draco,
You've only been gone a few days, but it feels like a few years. I miss walking with you to classes and hearing you laugh. I feel lonely, and like a part of me is missing.
Dumbledore has Harry and I stay under close watch. Hermione and Ron as well, but more the two of us than anyone. He told us that dementors escaped Azkaban and are out looking for us. I've never been more terrified in my life.
Please stay safe and come home soon. I'll feel better with you by my side.
All my love,
Sasha
"I'm thinking of inviting her family over for Christmas. Anything to get our other..." Mother pauses. "Company, out of the house," Mother makes a face before putting my folded clothes in my dresser.
"Is that safe?" I ask hesitantly.
"Oh yes, The Dark Lord won't hurt her here," Mother assures before she leaves.
"Just a few more weeks, my son. Then, Sasha will be by your side again," And off Mother goes.
Two more weeks, Sasha. That's all. Two weeks of staring off into the mundane, starless sky dreaming of you lying next to me. Two weeks of torture with no escape.
Mother knocks on my door one more time. "I got a surprise for Sasha. For the Christmas Ball. Would you mind keeping it in here, seeing as how the only person that comes in here is Theo?" She asks, handing me a dress on a hanger.
^ The dress Narcissa bought for Sasha.
"I'm sure she'll love it, Mother. Thank you," I smile and hang it in a secluded part of my closet for safekeeping. Theo saunters into my room, and we do what we have done for two weeks now. Try and forget about the hellhole we're in.
Two more weeks. Two more weeks until this place will be a bit more tolerable.
