I sit on the floor, cards out in front of me. The first game is Speed, me versus Issac. I mentally prepare myself. Draco flips over the first card, a 2. I toss down a 3, then a 4, went backward and placed another 3 before Issac puts down a 2. My ace went down a millisecond before his, and he puts down a King and I put down a Queen and Jack. The cards went down fast until it was up to luck. We both have one card left, I have a 4 and Issac has a Jack. Draco draws another card. A 5.
"YES!" Diara high fives me and I hand Issac the pile of cards. I only have 10 or so left for the second round. We play, and I win. Girls 1, Boys 0.
"Next, Eygptian Ratslap. Everyone in," I deal cards out to everyone. Mother and Narcissa knock on our door.
"Say cheese! I'll give you all copies later," We all smile and the mothers gush over the photo. Ezra pops his head in, smiling.
"Have fun, kids. Make me proud, girls," He winks at us before closing the door.
"So rude," Issac jokes. The first card is turned over and I place down a King. Draco is next, placing down a Queen. I slap my hand on the pile.
"Marriage," I call, and Diara high fives me. Issac curses under his breath.
"How did I not see that one?" Blaise asks and we all shrug. After many slaps, bruises on the front of our hands, it was close between Jenson and Diara. Diara lost by two cards. Girls 1, Boys 1.
"BlackJack. Everyone in and Jenson's house," Theo says, and Jenson deals our cards.
"BlackJack," I announce immediately. Girls 2, Boys 1.
"Hulk. Pick two players from your team," The boys huddle up and decide Draco and Issac will represent their team. Diara and I smirk-we have a secret code to play together. Diara pulls at her scrunchie. Diamonds, she's inferring. Thankfully, I have enough Diamonds in my deck to last me through the game if I play well.
"Diamonds," I announce as the cutting suit. Draco curses loudly and Issac stays silent. We won that 7-3.
"Okay gentlemen, since you put up a good fight, we have another deal for you. No nail-painting, no movie, but face masks, and we will play your games," Blaise eagerly nods at the new proposal and already has firewhiskey in hand.
"Alcoholics before it's even legal to drink," Issac jokes.
"Hey we're not alcoholics!" Theo protests. I clear my throat loudly.
"Okay, maybe a bit," Everyone clears they throats.
"Okay okay! Fine," Theo surrenders and we all laugh. Diara brings out a charcoal face mask and smiles. The boys look concerned.
"I have an idea," I take some small rubber bands from the end of Diara's hairbrush and tie a part of Draco's hair into a tree bun. Diara gets my idea and does the same for Theo.
"Blaise what are they doing?" Draco asks, but Blaise is too busy laughing to say anything. Diara applies the face mask to Blaise's face first.
"It's cold!" He squeals as Diara rubs it on his face.
"Well duh," Diara finishes, and Blaise now has a thick coat of the mask on his face. I do Draco next. He swipes some and puts it on my nose, chuckling.
"I look like a fool," Draco decides when I'm done and I drape my arms on his shoulders.
"A very handsome, cute fool," I correct him and he chuckles.
"How long does this have to be on for?" Draco asks while I get Diara's Polaroid.
"An hour. Now smile!" We take two pictures and let it develop. We then take a group picture, me in the middle with Draco and Blaise on either side of me. Since Diara is holding the camera, she's in front while Theo kneels in front of me. Theo fills our glasses.
