I wake up on the couch in Diara's house. Cameron and I stayed the night downstairs while Sasha and Diara shared Diara's room. I tap Cameron to wake him up.
"Dude, back to sleep." He says groggily.
"Let's go into their room," I say. Cameron nods and slowly gets up. As we approach the room, we hear talking. I open the door. The room is organized by pastel-colored bins. A queen-sized bed stood by a small set of windows with a blue bedspread that matches the baby blue curtains. A desk had scattered papers and a charging laptop on it with hanging lights that had pictures attached.
"Morning," Sasha says as she sorts through cash.
"It's literally five in the morning," Cameron says as he flops on Diara's bed. Sasha's hair is in a tight ponytail with green rubber bands that match her lime-colored shirt. She is also wearing a pair of ripped black jeans and combat boots.
"Black Friday, duh!" Sasha says as she walks over to the dresser. She pecks me on the cheek as she grabs a black jacket from her bag.
"Duh." I mock her playfully and kiss her back.
"Wait, don't tell me we have to come." Cameron groans. Diara laughs.
"Of course you're coming. Why else did we buy spots in line for you both?" Diara asks as she looks at her phone.
We pile into Cameron's car after a quick breakfast and head to a nearby mall. A whole lot of cars are already in the parking lot and it's only 5:45 a.m.
"Coupons?" Sasha asks.
"Check!" Diara says.
"Money?"
"Check!" We all say.
"Comfy shoes?"
"Check!"
"Stretched and ready to run?" Sasha asks. Cameron and I look at each other, mortified.
Taylor waves to us as we approach a huge line leading up to a department store. The line was huge, but we were at the very front of it all.
"Thanks, Tay Tay." Sasha hands her a coffee and a bagel.
"Not a problem." Taylor says. She then looks at me and whispers to Sasha. The two giggle before Diara screams.
"THE DOORS ARE OPENING! GET READY TO RUN!" Sasha prepares herself, and the doors open. Immediately, a stampede forms as people rush inside the store. Sasha squeezes past everyone and begins to run.
Someone takes my hand and pulls me away. A familiar pink-haired girl ran around the other side of the building with me.
"Let go!" I pull back.
"I'm trying to help you, gosh." Hakeema says as she twirls her pigmented hair around her finger. She shows me an entrance that leads me straight into the store with no hassle.
She reminds me of Pugface, only a bit worse.
I walk around back to the entrance, avoiding Hakeema as much as I could. "Excuse me sir, my brother is in there, may I go in?" I ask.
The man nods and opens the door. I rush inside, looking for Sasha. Weird, I couldn't find her. I call her phone.
"Hey, it's Sasha. I'm a bit busy right now, so leave a message and I'll call back soon. Bye!" Her cheery voicemail went. I call Diara.
"Hey, it's Di. I can't talk right now so leave something short, but sweet and I'l get back to you." Went Diara's voicemail. I began to worry. I call Cameron.
"Hey it's Cam. Text me because I never answer the phone." I furiously text Cameron, hoping he'll respond. He does in an instant.
Second floor, no reception. He says. I let out a sigh of relief and walk upstairs.
I spot Sasha come out of a fitting room wearing a tight black spaghetti strap dress. She tugs at it a bit and Diara claps.
"Miracle worker I tell you." Diara says, and Sasha playfully hits her arm.
"Very nice." I say and Sasha blushes.
"I'll get it." She goes back into the changing room and comes out with the dress in hand.
"Where'd you go?" Sasha asks me as we stand in line to check out.
"Got lost." I lie. Sasha nods. I couldn't tell her that Hakeema made a move on me and tried to flirt with me AGAIN.
Just like Pansy.
Sasha pays and we walk to another store.
That's not accurate we actually sprinted. Cameron and I panted and wheezed and grabbed onto each other for help. Sasha slowed down.
"Come on! We aren't going to make it!" Sasha cries as she helps us sit down.
"Leave...us...be..." I pant. Sasha smiles and hugs me.
"Let's eat." Sasha suggests and the two of us nod happily.
We sit and share donuts and some drinks to regain energy, and I realize how tired Sasha looks. She's staring into space and dark circles are making her hazel eyes look a dim and deep brown.
"I'm going to get some air." Sasha says and pick up her things. She briskly walks away before I can follow her.
Sasha didn't come back the whole day, and I began to worry. Was she alright? What happened to her? Where did she go? I called her twenty times and I kept getting her voicemail.
"Sasha went missing." I tell Diara, my eyes brimming with tears.
"I'm sure she's fine." Diara assures.
"She's not fine, she's been gone since 8:30 this morning and hasn't answered a single call of mine, not one." I say with conviction. Diara sighs and calls Sasha.
"Nothing." Diara says, a worried look settling in. She pulls up a tracking app, but even that can't find Sasha.
"We need to go home, now." Diara says and practically apparates to the car.
Four hours.
That's how long I've been waiting for Sasha to come home.
I've been pacing back and forth Diara's living room, tears spilling out of my eyes like a waterfall. Diara keeps calling and calling, tracking and tracking, but nothing works.
The door opens.
"SASHA!" I scoop Sasha up in my arms but she pushes me away.
"YOU!" She screams.
"Me?" I ask, confused.
"I know everything, Draco Malfoy. Everything." She seeths.
