I sit next to Sasha, waiting for her to wake up. She needs her medicine to help her regain her strength, but I can only give it to her if she wakes up. She stirs on the makeshift bed and opens her eyes.

That's an overstatement, her eyes were barely open, they might as well have been closed. It was like someone was pulling a little string to open them, but her eyelids were too heavy.

"Draco?" She asks weakly and starts to sit up. I put my hand on her back to help her.

"There you go, love. Don't push yourself too hard," I say softly. Sasha begins to cry.

"He...was right," Sasha sobs in her hands. I hold her, stroking her hair.

"Who?" I ask.

"My dad. He said bad things would happen if I left. And they did," Sasha cries and I kiss her hair.

"I won't let anyone hurt you. I promise," I whisper and Sasha wipes her eyes. She swallows some medicine and makes a face.

"Didn't taste good, huh?" I ask and she nods, laying back down.

"Get some rest. I'll be back," I lock the closet door and sneak downstairs. I hear Yaxley.

"I don't know where she went! The door was completely broken when we went down there!" Yaxley pleads. Father sends him a scathing look.

"My son, have you any idea where the girl went?" Father asks.

"No," The lie slides off my tongue and I head to the kitchen to get some food. I feel my heart pounding against my chest as I sneak some extra food for Sasha. I head upstairs without a glance from anyone else and open the closet door. Sasha is still awake and staring at the ceiling.

"I brought you some food. I figured you would be hungry," I hand her the warm bread wrapped in a napkin, and she thanks me before eating a little bit at a time.

"Thank you," She says meekly as I sit next to her.

"Anytime, love. How are you doing?" I ask. Sasha shrugs.

"I just feel really tired. Nothing hurts, though. It kind of feels like I'm dreaming," She says quietly. Good, nothing hurts.

"Do you feel anything in your dreams?" I ask, hoping to keep her conscious.

"Mm, sometimes," Sasha's eyes close more and more.

"Don't worry, only a few days until Theo will sneak you out of here. Just a few days. Can you handle that?" I ask her, laying her head back down on the pillow.

"Yeah," She whispers before falling asleep. I pull the covers up to her arms and kiss her forehead.

"Sweet dreams, love," I whisper before working on the Vanishing Cabinet. The early spring sun shines on the dead grass outside. I thought of my only spring in California. It rained a few days, and I remember how Sasha danced in the rain with me. I remember how we were soaked to the bone and how she refused to share the fire's warmth. I remember how the sun would shine and make Sasha's eyes a gorgeous green-hazel mix. I remember how the sun would wake us up, in our separate houses, but we would call and say good morning. Sasha used to say every morning: "Wake up, sleepyhead, because today is going to be another great day," I used to chuckle and get out of bed reluctantly, then eagerly wait until she would knock at my door and we would walk to school. Someone knocks at my door and I jump. I shut my closet door and open my bedroom door.

"We found Potter!" Bellatrix cackles and drags me downstairs. If they found Potter, that means He's won.

It can't be him. And even if it is, I won't believe it. Father finds me and smiles.

Yes, he smiles.

"Now, is this him?" He holds the back of my neck as I stare into Potter's swollen face. It didn't look like him at all. Smart.

"No," I reply. "They probably went under Polyjuice. It's not him," I say firmly, hoping my lies are enough.

"GET OFF OF ME!" A familiar voice screams. Yaxley had found Sasha and is holding her wrists.

"Found the pest hiding in Young Malfoy's room," Yaxley sneers and Sasha elbows him in the stomach. Yaxley tightens his grip on Sasha, moving his hand closer and closer to her neck.

"Throw her in the dungeon with the others!" Bellatrix declares and Sasha gets dragged downstairs again. She looks at me with no emotion in her eyes, like she's given up.

I hear Hermione's screams from my room and it kills me inside. I can't help them, to those three, I'm not on their side. I have never been, but I need to help them.

Mother sits in my room silently as I work for hours, the tears not stopping.

"Mother, she could die with them," I wipe my eyes but it's no use. The tears keep coming.

"You don't know, do you?" She asks me.

"Know what?" I ask warily.

"Sasha's father was a DeathEater before he faked his death. This is His payback, hurting Sasha. And, of course, the use of her extraordinary abilities," Mother looks at her hands.

I lean back onto the floor and Mother leaves, my thoughts the only thing keeping me company now. All I want were things to be the way they were in California, where we were both happy.

Suddenly, I hear laughter. I look out my window and I see two little girls holding hands and running from two little boys.

"Come catch us!" The smaller girl says to the boys. The smallest boy chases after the girls, stumbling a bit as he runs. Eventually, the oldest girl opens her arms wide and the little boy falls into them.

"I got you!" He giggles.

"Yes you did," The girl says while an older man rus up behind them. I think...

I think that's me.

Wow, I aged pretty well. I looked geniuenly happy. I scoop all the children in my arms while Sasha waves from the side door leading out to the beautiful backyard.

These were the visions. They were hopeful, I feel a seed of hope being planted in my mind.

Hope, that's a good feeling.

Don't worry, Sasha. Everything is going to be alright.
