A/N:
Hey everyone! Thanks again for all the support, we are number 62 in Muggle!!!! YAYYY!! Thanks to everyone who has been supporting the story so far. Enjoy, it's a sweet one❤️
Homecoming night came so fast. It was two weeks away, then five days.
Now, it's tonight.
As the Student Council President, Sasha had to be at the Country Club all day to prepare for the dance. At lunch, she sent me a picture of the tables.
"This took three hours." She captioned it. The tables had yearbook pictures from everyone's past school years on them with little photo booth toys in a vase as the centerpiece. I show it to Cameron, Diara, and my two new friends Eli and Mitch. Eli has bright red hair and brown eyes, and Mitch has blonde hair with deep green eyes.
"That's so cute!" Diara exclaims, and I get a Facetime notification from Sasha. She shows up on the screen. Her hair is in a ponytail, and I can see she's wearing a black top.
"Hey everyone!" She waves and everyone waves back.
"You guys wanna see?" She asks, and everyone nods. Sasha flips her camera, showing the tables as well as a place to take entrance photos.
"That looks awesome!" Cameron says happily.
"How'd you get those photos?" Mitch asks.
"Past yearbooks. And boy was that a pain. The theme is Take a Picture, it Will Last Longer." Sasha turns the camera so we can see her face again.
"Guys say bye. I need to talk to Sasha alone." I say and everyone says "bye!" in unison. I walk outside to the bench where we first met.
"Had to get my shining star on her own." I smile as I watch Sasha giggle. "Pick you up at 6?" I ask.
"That's the plan," Sasha responds. I smile.
"I miss you," I say truthfully.
"I miss you. I'm so bored, none of my friends are on Student Council and honestly, I'm stressed." Sasha sits against her sunflower patterned backpack.
"Are you gonna have a..." I drift off.
"God I hope not. That would be a nightmare. No one here knows about it so they wouldn't know what to do." Sasha looks down.
"Hey, if you feel too stressed, call me," I say softly, but loud enough for her to hear.
"Thanks. Well, I have to go. Thank you for calming me down. I really needed that." Sasha says as I wave goodbye.
I checked my phone after every period, but no call. She's okay, I assure myself.
I run home after school and rest before I pick Sasha up. I saw Jenson's car pass my bedroom window, and I knew that Sasha was coming home. I changed into an all-black suit with a white flower as a finishing touch. I don't slick back my hair, I don't know why.
I suddenly realized how nervous I was. Back home, I toyed with girls and knew it was only temporarily.
But this.
This was different.
Sasha was everything I wanted in someone, times ten. When I wasn't around her, she was always on my mind. When I was around her, I noticed everything about her. How her hair flowed when she moved. He long lashes. How her handwriting was so crisp and clear. How smart she was.
Don't screw this up, Draco.
I breathe and calm myself down. At 6, I pull up in front of her house. I knock on her door, and Jenson answers.
"Hey, man." He says. He seems to be in a better mood than the last time I saw him.
"Hi," I reply, and Jenson steps away from the door, revealing Sasha.
I was shocked.
She was wearing a gold dress that had an uneven cut, making one side longer than the other. It fit her beautiful figure perfectly. She matched it with black heels and a sparkly black handbag. She had barely any makeup on, and gold hoops. Sasha hugs Jenson quickly and closes the door, giving us privacy.
"You look...stunning." I stutter and Sasha blushes. She fiddles with my jacket.
"You don't look too bad yourself." She says as I open the car door for her. We drive together and I can tell Sasha's getting more nervous by the mile. When we get there I watch as her beautiful hazel eyes grow and shrink. She doesn't open the door, and I realize what's going on.
A panic attack.
I squeeze her hand and watch as she returns to Earth.
"I'm right here," I whisper.
SASHA:
Muffled voices.
The panic.
Incomplete thoughts.
Another panic attack. I was so scared to talk. I didn't want to walk into a room with a bunch of judgmental girls who were probably going to talk behind my back. Suddenly, someone squeezes my hand, and I realize it's Draco. I slowly fall back to Earth.
"I'm right here." He whispers.
"Thank you," I say softly, and together we open the doors.
The dance was all finished, the dance floor lit up all different colors, both photo booths were up and running with 10th graders taking pictures, and the tables looked perfect.
Draco and I took our picture, and the photographer printed two copies. I place them both in my bag as we head to our table. Diara and Cameron were already waiting for us. Diara was wearing a baby blue tea-length dress with matching white wedges. Cameron was matching her with a blue tie.
"You guys look amazing!" Diara exclaims as we hug.
"Love the color," I hug Cameron as well.
Draco takes my hand as we make our way to the dance floor. A popular upbeat song from the radio starts to play, and we dance. Although neither of us can really dance, it was still fun. Diara and Cameron came and we all danced together. I went to grab some punch when I saw her.
Hakeema, or KiKi Lux.
We used to be best friends, then she started being super toxic. She called me really bad names and would make rumors about me behind my back.
KiKi started walking towards me, and my vision began to blur. I slowly traced the rim of my punch cup to keep me down to Earth.
"Oh my god, is it really Miss Sasha Myers?" She asks in that extremely fake voice of hers. I place my punch cup in the middle of the table.
"It is," I say and she laughs.
"Is that your boyfriend?" She points to Draco, who is taking photos with Cameron at a photo booth.
"That is," I smile and wave Draco over. He walks over and puts an arm around me.
Take that, KiKi.
She starts to twirl her hair and I roll my eyes.
"Draco this is KiKi." I introduce the two.
"Nice to meet you," KiKi smirks at him flirtatiously.
"You too," Draco says, and I can tell he doesn't mean it. "Sasha you are needed at the DJ booth," I excuse myself.
I thank Draco just as some slow music comes on.
"May I?" He takes my hand and I smile. We sway together to the song, slowly dancing. Simply put, it was magical.
"I love you," Draco whispers. This was the first time he's said that to me.
"And I love you," I whisper back as he softly kisses me.
The rest of the night was amazing. We all went to the beach and stayed up until sunrise, adrenaline, and caffeine powering up. We danced on the beach, the soft sand at the bottom of our feet. When the sun rose, I lay on Draco's shoulder and close my eyes.
I wish these moments lasted forever.
