DRACO SPECIAL: The Visitor

Four months.

That's how long I've been dating Sasha.

It's been the best four months of my life.

I've never been happier

"Draco? You okay?" She strokes my arm with her fingertips.

"Oh yeah, lost in thought," I say, smiling back at her. The cool November air made Sasha bundle up in layers.

"Well, I'm excited about Thanksgiving break. Jenson's going to be gone with his friends, and I'll be spending a whole week with Diara. Are you in town?" Sasha asks.

"Probably." I lie. Of course I will be home.

We reach my house, and Sasha kisses me goodbye. "See you tonight." She smiles and heads home.

I walk inside, and for some reason, something's off. The house didn't feel safe anymore.

But why?

I figured it was jitters, and flop n my bed and closed my eyes.

"Finally you're awake." I jumped, grabbing my wand from my backpack. A familiar face stood before me.

"Blaise?!" I ask. I hadn't seen him in ages. We hug.

"Malfoy you've convinced everyone you're dead! What are you doing here?!" Blaise asks, sort of angry with me.

"I needed to get away, Zabini. I was gonna be a DeathEater, bad things were going to happen. I needed to be someone else for a change." I sigh, putting down my wand.

"How can you stand being with these Mudbloods?" Blaise asks with disgust.

"They aren't half bad." I flop on the couch. "I'm actually dating one," I add, and Blaise snaps his head so fast he rubs it in pain.

"You, Draco Lucius Malfoy, hater of all things Muggle, is DATING A MUDBLOOD?!" Blaise cries in astonishment.

The doorbell rings, cutting me off. I go to answer it. It's Sasha, carrying popcorn bags in her hand for our movie night together.

"Hey." I kiss her on the cheek.

"Hi," She kisses me back and heads to the kitchen. Blaise comes out of the living room, seeing Sasha.

"Is that her?" He whispers. I nod.

"That's not a muggle, that's a goddess." I chuckle and bring him into the kitchen. Sasha is unwrapping the microwave popcorn and placing it in the microwave.

"Sasha, I want to introduce you to my best friend, Blaise. Blaise, this is my girlfriend, Sasha." The two shake hands.

"Hi! I didn't know you were here today, I would have invited you to join us." Sasha offers.

"Neither did I," I mutter. The popcorn finishes.

"Blaise, you're welcome to join us if you'd like." Sasha offers as she pours the popcorn into a white bowl.

"I think I should freshen up a bit. You two enjoy it, though." Blaise smiles kindly and walks to the guest bedroom. I wrap an arm around Sasha, feeling her warm, fuzzy sweater.

"Your friend is nice. Did he surprise you today?" She asks as we sit on the couch.

"Yeah, my parents surprised me with him." I lie. Sasha scoops some popcorn in her palms and begins to eat.

"I'll be back." Sasha nods as she eats some popcorn. I run to Blaise's room.

"Don't tell anyone, and I mean ANYONE where I am, is that clear?" I ask him.

"I promise, Malfoy." I hug him. I didn't realize how much I missed him until he had come back.

"You can stay for the week I have off school if you want." I offer and Blaise nods. I go back downstairs where Sasha is waiting, flipping through movie options.

"Find anything?" I ask her.

"Nothing we haven't seen." She says, a hint of disappointment, but a hint of happiness. Our Monday Movie Nights became a regular thing we did together, meaning we were running out of movies and fast.

"Ooh! This one, it's called Night School. Apparently, it's supposed to be funny." Sasha reads the description to herself.

"Sure." I agree, and Sasha starts the movie.

Hearing Sasha laugh was comforting. She had a light, airy, carefree laugh that was contagious. The movie was pretty funny.

"That was a solid 8/10," I say as Sasha finishes the popcorn.

"Miss or make?" Sasha asks as she shows me a piece of popcorn.

"Make," I say hopefully. Sasha tosses the piece of popcorn in the air and catches it in her mouth. She smiles triumphantly.

I kiss her, watching as she smiles. I let go softly as Sasha turns a bit pink.

"My star." I whisper into her ear.

"My world." She whispers back, causing me to blush.

Who'd thought Sasha would make me soft?

Blaise knocks on my bedroom door after Sasha leaves. "What if everyone finds out where you are?" He asks.

I think, sadness flooding me. I never wanted to leave. I had grown so accustomed to life without magic, to life here.

To Sasha.

"I'll stay here." I say simply, though a voice in the back of my head told me it wasn't that simple.

"But what about your future?" Blaise asks, sitting on my bed. I spin my desk chair to face him.

"My future is Sasha. End of story." I say with conviction.

"Does she like, have a sister? Or a hot best friend?" He asks and I roll my eyes.

"Neither. Her best friend is cute, but taken. And Sasha has a brother, not a sister." Blaise scowls.

"Aw man. Well, goodnight." Blaise nods and leaves.

That night, I had a horrible nightmare. Sasha was kidnapped and held captive by the Dark Lord. He had already killed Diara and Cameron, and Blaise was held hostage. I woke up screaming, then realized it was a dream.

But after that, I came to the conclusion that I would protect Sasha.

Even if it was at the cost of my best friend.
