The bed feels lighter when I wake up. I look to find a note sitting next to me.
Went to your library because I couldn't sleep.
Sasha
I hop out of bed and put on a sweater, walking to the library. The sun was barely peeking over the hills in the distance, a warm orange glow shining on the mountains in the distance. The library door is already ajar, and I see Sasha's brown and blonde hair over a couch. She's reading one of the books I got her for Christmas. From the looks of it, she's been here for a while.
And she wasn't alone.
"Sasha up early? Something's wrong," Jenson pops out from the other entrance. Sasha chuckles lightly.
"No seriously, what's wrong? You seem so down," Jenson sits next to his sister.
"I can't stop thinking about last night. When I saw Draco about to throw it all away, I..." Sasha sucks in a breath. "I don't know. I didn't realize how much we needed each other. He makes me feel like I am the best girl in the world, and I make him feel human," Sasha closes her book.
"You're taking the blame?" Jenson asks her. Sasha nods.
"Sash, you have to let this go. Remember what Mom used to say: the world will always throw you a curveball, but all you have to do is..." Jenson points to his sister.
"Hold on. Hold onto all the things that make you happy, that make you want to get up in the morning. But most importantly, all the people who love you," Sasha finishes. Jenson smiles.
"You know you don't always have to be strong, right?" He asks.
"Yeah," Sasha replies and I knock on the door. Sasha spots me and stands up.
"Morning, sleepyhead," Sasha kisses my cheek.
"You okay?" I ask, pretending that I didn't hear that entire conversation. Sasha looks back at her brother before nodding.
"Yeah. How are you doing?" She asks, taking my hand as we walk back to my room.
"Better now that we're okay," I kiss her cheek and Sasha smiles.
"Good," Sasha says before waving to Diara. Her hair is up in a high ponytail and she's still wearing Cameron's sweater.
"Morning," Diara stretches and walks over, giving both of us hugs.
"Morning," We both answers before Theo and Blaise stumble out of their rooms.
"Best friend!" Blaise hugs Sasha and me. Diara looks furious.
"HE'S YOUR BEST FRIEND?!" Diara asks jokingly.
"He's my BFFH. Best Friend From Hogwarts. You're my BFFL, Best Friend For Life," Sasha clarifies, and Diara wipes invisible sweat off her forehead.
"Whew, I thought I was gonna have to put Blaise in his place," Blaise looks terrified before we burst into laughter. Ezra hugs his kids good morning and waves to me before heading to get breakfast. Issac trudges out of his room.
"Hey, everyone," He greets us all with a smile. Sasha hugs her brother before we all head to breakfast. Unfortunatly, Father was downstairs as well. I don't acknowledge him.
"Good morning, Mr. Malfoy," Sasha says as politely as she can. Isabella nods approvingly. Diara briskly walks past everyone and heads straight for the kitchen. Sasha hides a chuckle behind her hand.
"There's food on the counter that Isabella made for you all," Mother says and we all thank the two. We sit in the kitchen with the door closed and a silencing charm on it.
