Sasha wakes up in a room she doesn't recognize. It's small, eery, dark, and doesn't give Sasha a pleasant feeling. Images of the Dark Lord and Bellatrix flash through her head. She could hear His voice everywhere like it was on a speaker. Sasha covers her ears but it only makes the sound louder. She screams.
Thank goodness, Sasha thought when she saw Draco's room. It was just a dream.
Or was it?
Sasha tosses some Floo Powder into the library's fireplace and pops her head through. She sees Harry asleep in his bed.
"Harry," Sasha whispers. Harry doesn't stir.
"HARRY!" Sasha whisper-shouts, which was enough to wake Harry up. He approaches the fireplace.
"Sasha? What are you doing here?" He asks quietly to not wake up Ron.
"I had one of those nightmares again. I was in the dark room and I hear His voice over and over again," Sasha reports, trying to push the nightmare away.
Harry sits down. "What did he say?" He asks nervously.
"I don't know. It all blended together to form noise," Sasha replies. Harry thinks.
"My scar didn't hurt this time. I think it's just for you now," Harry says, and she nods.
"Will you ask someone in the morning? I'll owl my father and see what he says," Sasha asks.
"Sure. And before you leave," Harry runs to his bedside and hands Sasha a present, a large package of sugar quills.
"I notice that you chew on these a lot when you're nervous. I hope you like them," Harry says, smiling.
"I love them. Thank you, Harry. I got you something, too," Sasha hands him her present, a watch.
"Brilliant, thank you," He says and they both smile.
"Thanks for your help, and sorry for waking you up," Sasha apologizes before she leaves. Sasha walks back to Draco's room. He's still asleep, so Sasha opens her father's journal and scans through the pages, looking for anything that could help her. Draco sits up.
"What's wrong?" He asks groggily. Sasha snaps up.
"Nothing," Sasha lies before looking back into the old leather journal.
"Then come back to bed," Draco says, laying back down. Reluctantly, Sasha brings the journal back to bed and continues to read. She reaches a page labeled Mind Control
"If you feel weak, or you hear a voice that is not yours, it is possible that someone is feeding off your power and inserting images into your brain. To block this, build a figurative wall around your mind by keeping important information tucked away," The entry wrote in Evan Myers's messy handwriting. Sasha closes her eyes and pushes Harry's existence to the back of her mind. That's probably what the Dark Lord wants, she thought. Draco brushes her arm, causing Sasha to face him.
"What are you doing?" He asks, not fully awake.
"Nothing, go back to sleep," Sasha says, and Draco closes his eyes, falling asleep.
The morning was a bit chaotic. Since Sasha's family was still jetlagged, it took a team of three people(namely Sasha, Draco, and Diara) to wake up Jenson and Issac. Not only that, tonight was the Christmas Ball hosted by the Malfoys. Everyone had the whole day to prepare, as the festivities would begin at seven sharp.
Sasha sits in Diara's room as Diara pulls out items from her suitcase.
"This is Cameron's, this is also Cameron's, this is Issac's-how did that get here, ISSAC!" Diara shouts, making Sasha laugh. Diara holds up a white sweater with Adams stitched neatly on the right side in red thread.
