Jenson came home a few minutes after me, a somber look on his face.

"You okay, Jay Jay?" I ask him as I bite into a peanut butter cup.

"Yeah, fine." He says absentmindedly. I shrug it off and head to my room. I always do my homework on Fridays to leave time to hang out with friends. At 5, I started getting ready. I decided to wear a black shirt that showed my shoulders with distressed black jeans and another pair of combat boots that I really love. My hair went into a high ponytail and I did minimal makeup like always.

The warm summer air greets me as I see Draco pull up in his car. I smile as I sit next to him He's wearing a white button-up shirt and dark jeans.

"You look amazing." Draco smiles as he drives.

"You don't look too bad yourself," I comment and Draco smirks. He turns onto the freeway and pulls up the top of the car, making the cars outside seem muffled.

"Sasha I'm really sorry about earlier," Draco says.

"I know," I smirk and check my phone. Jenson had texted me.

You're missing school on Monday for doctor stuff. Also depression tests. Courtesy of stupid social worker.

I send him a thumbs up and focus back on Draco.

"Who was that?" He asks.

"Jenson. Told me I'm missing school on Monday for a whole bunch of doctor's appointments," I explain, and Draco nods. We get to the drive-in movie theater and Draco puts the top of the car down again and I buy us some food and snacks. Draco buys a soda, but I don't.

"Too good for soda?" Draco smirks.

"Try allergic." I retort.

"Oh wow. That sucks." Draco sips a bit and I ate a bit of my dinner. The movie began, and as soon as I saw the title, my heart stopped.

It was the last movie I saw with Mom and Dad.

"Sash, you okay?" Draco takes my hand.

"Yeah why?" I ask, masking my horror and sadness.

"You just went pale fast." He notes.

"Huh. I didn't notice." I lie, but sadly Draco knows better.

"Wait, there's a connection to your parents, right?" He asks and I look at him.

"How'd you know?" I ask, astonished.

"You were fine one minute and not the next." Draco states.

"Yeah. It was the last thing we did before they left." I say sadly. Draco drives us away and takes me to somewhere far away from everything. We could see the city lights sparkling in the sunset, everything slowly become brighter as the sky became darker.

"You didn't deserve them, Sasha. You deserved so much better." Draco and I sit on the hood of the car, his arms guarding me against the rest of the world. I close my eyes, not wanting to cry. A tiny tear escapes my eyes, just like how my parents escaped from me.  Draco holds me tighter, but I come out of the cocoon he built me. I stare at the twilight sky and spot a shooting star.

"A shooting star!" I point to the sky just as the star falls from the sky. More fall and I realize that it's not a shooting star, it's a meteor shower.

"Wow, it's amazing." I stare up in the sky, watching the meteors fall.

"It really is." Draco agrees and we stare in the sky together. I remember how Jenson and I used to watch the stars together after Mom and Dad left. Although we couldn't see much from our house, every time we saw one, we called it "The Light of Hope."

Now, the sky was full of it. I smile and hoped Jenson was watching.

He needed this more than me.
