The party was so much fun. Having my family and friends around me to celebrate my birthday made me feel whole again. Even though Dad was in hiding, and Mom had passed away, I still felt them inside of me. Mom's locket rests on my wrist, reminding me of everything she's been through. The night came to a close, but Draco took my hand and led me to the Astronomy Tower.
"You're being so sneaky! Just tell me what's going on," I joke, but Draco is silent. We reach the Astronomy Tower and the tip of Draco's wand glows red. I was in danger. I break free of Draco's grasp and clutch my wand in my hand.
"Sasha, what's wrong?" Draco asks.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. Your wand is red, Draco," I say, the grip on my wand becoming tighter.
Draco's eyes well with tears. "I'm sorry," He whispers before opening the door, and I'm held down through a magical barrier.
"Well well well, look who we have here!" Bellatrix hisses. I scream, the barrier was hurting me. Suddenly, I hear cracks. The purple barrier around me was beginning to break. The barrier shatters like glass and the first thing I do is run.
Which, may I say, is hell in high heels.
I ditch the heels and run. I couldn't go to Harry or Dumbledore, if I went to Jenson he'd ask too many questions, I can't even consider Draco at this point, and Dad is who knows where.
I'm alone.
I hear Bellatrix's screeching voice and keep running. An idea pops into my head.
The Room of Requirements. Just imagine it being inpenetrable and maybe, just maybe, it will work. I ran up seven flights of stairs until I found the room. Thankfully, I had put at least two or three minutes of distance between me and the DeathEaters, giving me enough time to sneak into the Room and put a barrier around it. The footsteps echo through the halls and I hold my breath.
"Find her! Turn this school upside down for her if you have to!" Bellatrix orders, and the footsteps split up. Someone opens the door and my wand is ready. It's not Draco.
"Blaise?" I ask quietly.
"Thank Merlin you're okay," he closes the door.
"Wait, I'm not sure if it's you," I eye him suspiciously. "What's my middle name?" I ask.
"Natalie. After your dad's mother, who passed away when you were four months old," Blaise says. I lower my wand, it was really him. I hug him.
"Draco betrayed me, Blaise. He turned me in, but I outran them," I sniffle, on the verge of tears.
"I know, I saw the Deatheaters. Listen, you have to stay here for a while, okay? I'll come every day and make sure you're alright," Blaise tells me and I nod along.
"What about my family?" I ask nervously.
"They're safe, don't worry. I need to leave now, but I'll be back soon," Blaise smiles sadly at me before he leaves.
"Blaise?" I ask him and he turns around.
"Thank you," We share a sad smile before he leaves.
I sit on the small bed in the corner of the room, tears spilling from my eyes and my body aching with pain. Draco was going to turn me in, I could have died. I bury my face in my hands, hiding from the pain, but it only consumed me more.
I lay down in my bed looking up at the dark, blank ceiling above me. I had never felt so heartbroken before. I pull the covers over my head and stayed there for hours.
