It was unnoticeable, but the boy couldn't stop shifting his gaze over to the girl in a repeating manner.
Somehow, Airi could also feel a pair of eyes locked on her figure as she continued to chat with her friends while waiting for their bus to arrive. Not having enough of the peculiar feeling, she turned to look back and search for the reason behind the uneasy feeling in her chest. Just like she had expected, she saw a pair of round grey eyes looking back at her. As if he had been caught doing something bad, he flinched in shock and quickly looked away while trying to act as if he was talking with his friends normally.
Airi quirked an eyebrow at his weird behaviour, but nevertheless she returned her attention back to Mina who was trying to show a meme on her phone. The boy returned his gaze back to the girl, his cheeks fading into a slightly red hue after he realised he had been caught staring.
"Dude, you should really just approach her. You look like a creep if you keep staring at her like that."
He lets out a hesitant chuckle. "Really? I don't know man... She looks like she's occupied at the moment."
Kendo turned to look at Airi, seeing her laughing with the others as she smacked her thighs repeatedly. She plastered a reassuring smile when she said, "It's now or never. Just hand her the note and introduce yourself. What's the problem?"
Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes in attempt to calm his racing heartbeat. With a sharp exhale, he nodded and proceeded to courageously make his way to Class 1-A's group, specifically to the girls. Airi could hear light footsteps getting louder and louder towards her, and she noticed how her friends had their gaze locked on an unknown figure behind her. Twisting her body to look back, her eyebrows were raised in surprise when she noticed the same boy who had been staring at her before standing awkwardly in front of her.
Nevertheless, a small smile curved onto her lips when she asked, "Yes?"
"U-Uh...A-Airi Himari.. right?", he cursed himself silently for stuttering, and braved himself to lift his gaze up and look into her amber coloured eyes.
She nodded, and a familiar sense of recognition flowed in her mind when she asked, "You're...Yosetsu? Yosetsu Awase?"
His eyes brightened, a hopeful glint flashing across his grey orbs. "Yes! I didn't expect you to know me."
