Airi had always wondered what it would feel like to be normal.

Ever since she had inherited this deadly quirk from her mother, the burden was always heavy on her shoulders, because she was trained to achieve the impossible. To protect the vulnerable. To become the best amongst the best. But at the same time, it was difficult for her to understand why she wasn't allowed to show everyone her remarkable abilities throughout her childhood.

If she was that powerful, why didn't Violet reveal her to everyone? For what reason did she train so hard for, only for her to be kept hidden?

Was she that dangerous?

The questions remained unanswered, right until the day she finally had enough of keeping the powers to herself, and unleashed the violence within. The innocent lives taken on that day, the people who she never learnt the names of had disappeared from the world, just by the touch of her fingertips.

Airi Himari remembered it all too well.

It was her first day training with other people, other than her own mother. Violet thought the quickest way Airi could progress with her quirk was to get used to fighting people with different quirks, which was why she invited 15 of her sidekicks to come and assist her on that night. Little did she know, that day would be the last time Violet would expose her daughter to the outside world.

Sure, Ichika was strict with the ways she trained her. But since a very young age, Airi was already burning with passion to become the best one yet. Even before she had inherited the quirk, the young girl always threw tantrums every single time she couldn't follow her mother for hero work since Ichika thought it was too dangerous for her.

The times when she failed to persuade her mother, Airi would sneak in her mother's home office and read the books where her mother would write her Netherworld spells in, deeply fascinated by the significances of Violet's quirk. Though she would receive a harsh lecture from her mother after that, it never stopped Airi from doing it again.

Violet was confused to why she was so passionate to become a hero even before she had inherited her quirk. Even way before she had learnt the ability to write. As far as Ichika could recall, Airi had also learnt how to read and write so notably fast from other kids in her age.

The very first second Airi had manifested the deadly violet flames of her quirk, a desire to become the most powerful one yet had simultaneously grown in her heart.
