Sometimes, Airi asked herself the same thing again and again.
What could possibly go wrong the first few minutes in battle?
"DENIM HEAD! THIS IS BAD!"
As she lands on one of the platforms in the floating Coffin, her eyes darted left and right, top and bottom, searching for the familiar green locks of hair. Evident panic rushes through her veins as she starts to break into cold sweat.
"W-Where... the fuck.... is D-Deku....?"
"DEKU ISN'T HERE!", Bakugou screamed out.
Best Jeanist turned to look at the blonde one, asking in the same, panicked tone. "What happened?"
"I DONT KNOW!"
"Someone must've pulled him to another warp!", Airi suggested loudly, amber eyes remaining focus on the main villain at the center.
"Hey.. I-Isn't this bad?", Tamaki nervously says. "Without him, we can't fight like we were planning!"
Nejire agreed, "We need to tell the others!"
From the top, a determined voice tells them, "Whatever! Let's just do this! Plus, did all of you forget? It's not like we're completely hopeless...."
Her red eyes flared in conviction, looking her amber ones. "...We have Riri by our side! We can still win this battle!"
At the call of her nickname, she grinned in confidence. The familiar bright, violet hues of flames sprouted out from both of her opened palms, yelling out in encouragement,
"It's already started! Let's do this everyone!"
Just like expected, Shigaraki's first move would be his attempt to decay the ground below them. He touched the grass with one of his palms, the ground cracking and bursting into pieces from his decay. But the platform below him boosted upwards, sending him flying towards the electromagnetic barrier surrounding the area in high speed. This produced a surge of electrocutions throughout his body, earning a painstaking loud growl from the villain.
Airi never wasted a single second after. Chanting a low spell under her breath to enhance the visibility of the soul threads, she roughly pulled his intertwined souls downwards, as his pale like muscular body slammed against the ground in full force. She swayed her right arm through the air speedily, dragging Shigaraki through the ground causing the following platform to break into hundreds of small, tiny pieces.
