Time seemed to fly so fast for her.
Now that Airi had taken two whole weeks for her body to heal by itself, she was more than excited to finally start the second round for their Hero Work Studies. Although Shoto insisted for her to join his father's agency, Airi couldn't possibly just leave Tokoyami alone in Hawks's. Plus, what would Hawks say if she would suddenly had the thought of changing agencies?
"If it isn't my favorite hero trainee, Airi Himari!", the hero with golden locks exclaimed with a huge grin on his lips, giddily approaching the girl.
Airi had an apologetic smile on her face, "I'm sorry for taking such a long break. The doctor insisted for me to take a whole week of rest before using my quirk."
"Airi."
His deep voice, familiar to the girl's ears snatched her attention away from looking into the Pro Heroes' golden eyes. The birdboy's presence slowly emerged from behind Hawks, a delighted smile crept on her lips,
"Tokoyami!"
"You're finally back. Its been lonely in this agency.", he glanced at the Pro Hero for a slight while, narrowing his eyes. "By the way, I heard that Hawks. Didn't know we were playing favorites now."
Hawks golden orbs flickered in panic, but he quickly patted the young man's shoulders in reassurance, cheering him up, "Come on Tsukuyomi! I haven't seen Airi in a few months. Give it a rest, will ya?"
Tokoyami rolled his eyes playfully, averting his attention to the girl and held her forearms, asking in a voice just above a whisper,
"How have you been doing? Your wrists okay? Don't tell me you ignored the doctors again-"
"No! I didn't!", Airi chuckled, adding in a genuine tone. "You're not gonna hear any more lies from me, Tokoyami. I've learnt from my mistakes, and I've grown out of that phase."
Hawks had a proud smile lingering on his lips, silently admiring the young trainee for her determination, despite the many challenges and hardships faced by her in the past year.
"Alright, I'm glad you can finally join us, Himari.", Hawks sent her a look of reassurance. "Though I must say, two weeks of missing Hero Work Studies? There's a lot for you to catch up."
Airi's gaze dropped to the top of her shoes, sighing deeply. "I'm aware of that. I will try my best to catch up with Tokoyami. You can trust me on this, Hawks!"
