Somehow, in the midst of her twisted feelings, there was a tiny, the most tiniest feeling of comfort.

Airi wasn't the type to show her feelings to anyone, not even to Bakugou, not even to her own mother or to Reo and Hina. The mindset of having to burden someone with your problems attached to her brain like some sort of poison intoxicating one's body. She absolutely despised the idea of having to lean onto someone's shoulder or having to depend on others just because she couldn't solve her own problem by herself.

Was she that weak?

A simple 'yes' would answer the question, in Airi's opinion of course. However, a certain someone, a significant boy to be precise, effortlessly changed her meaningless mindset. Heck, even the sight of his heterochromic eyes gazing upon her features brought her reassurance. A feeling she had never, ever felt before in her entire life.

The only problem she needed to deal with now was the agonising truth she kept within the deepest depths of her heart. Sometimes, she wondered, was it maybe her quirk that made her acceptable to the superhero society now? Could the teachers entrust her with Violet's quirk even after so many circumstances that awaited her in the future?

If they knew the history behind Violet's quirk, would everyone accept her the same as they did now?

"Airi.... You're crying."

The girl blinked, unconsciously letting out a few tears from her heavy eyelids. Panicked, she wiped the tears from running down her cheeks with the back of her palms.

"I-I am..? S-Sorry, I didn't notice."

He lets out a deep sigh. Placing the screwdriver away, he twisted his body to look at the girl and propped both his elbows on his knees.

"You wanna talk about it?", Shoto asked softly.

She released a soft breath, and rubbed her face with both of her palms in an exhausted manner. Airi shook her head lightly and plastered a faint smile when she answered,

"It's nothing. I think I'm just overwhelmed with so many feelings right now, that I don't even realise I'm crying."

Shoto wasn't convinced, and Airi could see that just by the sight of his furrowed eyebrows, but he fought the urge to question further. Instead, he leaned in closer and tucked a few strands of hair from her loose bun while saying,
