She took her seat beside the latter, who was currently reading a book.
Tranquility filled in the atmosphere of the common room, where supposedly Iida wanted everyone to be present since the Pussycats, a group of famous Pro Heroes informed them about their visit soon. The last time Airi saw the Pro Heroes were since their Training Camp. Though it didn't end up well for the whole class. She shook off the thoughts from her head, never wanting to reminisce any memories from the event.
Airi took a bite of her chocolate donut, and turned to look at the boy beside her. Even though his eyes were plastered on the book in his hands, Airi could easily read the emotions in his eyes. His mind was seemingly wandering elsewhere, as if he was drowning deep in his train of thoughts. With a simple nudge on his shoulder, Shoto tilted his head slightly and arched an eyebrow at the girl.
"You're peculiarly quiet today."
"Haven't I always?", he asked nonchalantly, returning his gaze back to the book.
Airi's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She nudged him once more, and with a deep sigh he turned to look at the girl again.
"What?"
"You're not always quiet with me.", she stated, matter-of-factly. "Have you eaten lunch?"
"No. I'm not hungry."
"Really? But, I am.", she pouted.
"Then go and have something to eat.", he replied back.
"But, I want to have lunch with you.", Airi mumbled audibly to herself, to which the lad had heard. Even though he fought the urge to smile, he couldn't help but to feel the lighthearted feeling in his chest at his girlfriend's adorable personality.
"You're already eating a donut.", he pointed out, a playful tone lacing with his words. Airi however, was oblivious to his cheeky attitude.
"A donut is not enough for my big tummy.", she retorted while holding onto her stomach. This unknowingly curved a small smile on Shoto's lips, amused.
