Behind her smile was a hurting heart.
Behind her laughs, she's falling apart.

She kept on running without knowing when or where to stop.

All that she knew now, was she needed to keep on running. In her mind, she didn't exactly know where to go. While she ran for her life, the sobs and cries never paused for a single second. At this point, she didn't know why she was crying. She didn't know what was wrong with her. She didn't know who to rely on. All that she could feel now was pain.

But she was painfully numb.

She stopped when she realised she arrived at one of the few abandoned buildings a few blocks away from the dormitory. Exhausted from crying and running for no point, her knees unbuckled beneath her as she fell down onto the ground helplessly. She covered her face with her palms, the sobs still escaping her lips although it turned softer within each passing second.

"Painful, isn't it?"

The deep, solemn voice called out for her. She raised her head, and tiredly connected her half lidded eyes with his turquoise ones.

"What do you want from me?", she croaked out, wiping the tears with the back of her palms. "You were the one who sent the package, didn't you?"

Dabi shrugged his shoulders, bluntly replying, "I warned you."

Another choked sob escaped her trembling lips, as she shook her head angrily at how blunt he sounded after committing the hugest mistake which destroyed her life. However, Airi was incapable of any emotions now. She was in pain, of course she was. Indeed, she felt infuriated with the villains actions.

But, at the back of her head, there was a deep voice calling out for her. It was telling her to snap out of reality and realise who she was all this time.

Airi was tired of running from the truth.

With a clear voice, she locked her serious gaze with his turquoise orbs,

"Let me join you."

Dabi arched an eyebrow in surprise, asking, "What?"

"I'll join the villains. That's what you wanted from me all this time, right?"

A smirk played on his lips after her reply, and as if the whole scene had been practiced, a familiar sight of dark purple mist filled in the view behind Dabi. Airi watched how the villains revealed themselves behind the boy, a satisfied and contented expression on each one of their faces. Shigaraki raised both of his hands, clapping for the girl.
