"Thank you, but I think I'm better on my own."

Huffing out a breath in annoyance, Airi felt like throwing herself off of the back of her dragon companion, the fury once again crawling under her skin as she recalled his last sentence before he left her.

"All of that advice and talking, all of that for nothing? Damn you Deku-kun."

Apparently, after a few minutes of the girl trying so hard to get Midoriya to come back to UA, the boy still had doubts of returning because he couldn't bear risking the whole of UA Academy's and the evacuees safety. Even when she had suggested for him to go in and out like her, at least having a proper place to rest for the night, he still insisted it was better for him to stay out of the gates, if better, he felt like it was better if he was miles off the city.

"Himari, you sure you got nothing abnormal to report on Midoriya, today?"

She almost forgot the other four heroes existed behind the line. Fortunately, she didn't switch on her microphone, so she was clear of suspicions.

"Nope. He seems to be fine."

"And the issue with the GPS device just now?"

Airi wrecked her head for more reasons, vague, yet clear enough for the heroes to not inquire her further. At this point, she deserved a reward for lying so effortlessly.

"Might be a glitch. The signal transmissions sometimes get blocked by the thick dust around the city."

When nobody responded to her, it meant she was clear of the wariness. A cheeky smile curved onto her lips, and she arrived right in front of the large gates. Chanting a low spell to deactivate her Netherworld before shooting Ella a thankful glance, Airi stepped into the gates and underwent the same security procedures.

"Good work for today, Himari. Tomorrow you can start a bit later. Midoriya said he decided to take a longer rest tonight."

At the sound of his sentence, Airi couldn't help but to feel a sense of relief wash her senses. Maybe the boy had taken into consideration of her concerns. She tapped on her in-ear, letting the others know,

"That's good. A reason for me to sleep in tomorrow. Airi Himari, signing off."

She took the thick device, shoving them into her totebag. Before she went out of the building, she made sure to have already pulled up her hood, though she knew it wouldn't really make much of a difference. Changing the in-ear with her own pair of earphones, Airi took out her own phone and turned on her playlist, playing a significantly loud tempo song to hopefully minimize the whispers around her.
