She could barely open her eyes.
Rubbing them gently with the back of her fingers, her eyes were locked on the top of her shoes as she tried to adjust her vision.
"Good morning."
The familiar deep tone of voice sounded comfroting in her ears, so she couldn't help but to smile sweetly as she connected her eyes with his heterochromic ones.
"Good morning.", she croakily replied with a soft yawn.
Shoto couldn't help but to melt in awe at the sight of her half lidded eyes which were trying its best to stay wide opened in the early morning. He lifted his right hand to ruffle the soft strands of her hair on the crown of her head, but this time Airi paid no heed to the action since she was that tired.
"Good morning, students.", their homeroom teacher's voice was loud and clear despite in the early hours of the day. "Today is the day your training camp really begins. The aim of the forest training is to increase everyone's ability and obtain the provisional license that goes with that."
Aizawa tried to connect his stern gaze with everyone, and continued, "To prepare you to face with the hostilities that will come your way. Give it your best."
"So, Bakugou.", he pulls out an unknown ball from his pockets, gesturing it towards the blonde haired student. "Try throwing that."
"Is this from the test?"
"Yes."
He effortlessly caught it with his hand, and Airi quirked an eyebrow at the sight of the unfamiliar tool. Turning her head to look at Shoto, she asked,
"What's that?"
"That?", he averted his gaze to look at the ball. "Oh, it's from our first Quirk Apprehension Test. When you throw it, it can calculate how far the distance your throw is."
Her mouth curved into an 'o' in understatement. Aizawa then continued to explain, "Your previous record right after you enrolled was 705.2 metres. Let's see how much you improved after months of training."
