Emma's eyes fluttered open to the sound of birds tweeting and the slowly rising sun gliding over her face. She sat up and looked around the circular room the other girls were still sleeping cosily in their beds, as she pulled on her robes she looked at her calendar and tried to ignore the box where at the start of the year she had written 'my birthday' in big letters after everything that had happened she did not want her birthday she just wanted answers and her grandmother back with her.
She went down to the common room to avoid the others as she just wanted to be by her self. She got lost in her thoughts when Willow came out of the dorm and sat next to her dressed ready for the day. "Emma are you ok," she asked
"Yes" Emma lied
"Please Emma just tell me the truth"
"I had a bad year last year and this year is not any better I lost my grandmother at Christmas last year and I just do not want anything to happen as it could just be worse," Emma said as tears welled in her eyes
"Emma I am so sorry" Willow put her arm arrowed Emma the only sounds that surrounded the two was the crackling of the fire and the other students getting ready in their dorms. Willow removed a small wrapped box from her pocket "Happy birthday Emma" she handed Emma the box, Emma ripped off the wrapping and opened the small box. Inside there was a small wooden wolf. "I made it my self" there was a card at the bottom

Teddy P.O.V
I turned my head and see the clock on my bedside table 6:30 it read, I sat up and looked around at the other boys who had started to wake up from their dreams of quidditch and dating their crush, I put on my uniform and brush my hair before messing it up. I reach under my bed for the present that I have for Emma, but I think that she probably does not want to think about her birthday after everything, I guess I will have to celebrate it for her.

Willow and Emma walked down to the Great Hall together. As they sat down Teddy joined them at the table and helped himself to some toast. "Happy Birthday" Teddy handed Emma a box tied with string. She pulled the string and opened the box there was a pair of white ice-skates, and there was a card resting on to of them

I give Teddy a hug and thank him "but I do not know how to skate" I admit to him
"I will teach you," he says chuckling. I hear several owl calls sound from above and the students look up hoping to receive something from home. A snow-white owl that I recognise to be Hedwig lands in front of me before taking some toast from Teddy's plate and took off. I remove the paper protecting the package and picked up a slip paper

Another owl landed and took off again this one was from the Weasleys, they had given me some homemade fudge and the best Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes products money can buy. A small package suddenly appeared on my plate I unwrapped a pair of odd socks with a little note tucked inside one of them
Dobby is very thankful that Miss Evergreen

An owl landed in front of me and left a package from Lupin and Tonks before taking Teddy's toast and flying of "I just want some toast" Teddy shouted at the owls. I opened the package and there was a bar of chocolate, a hat, scarf and pair of gloves, there was a note resting on top of the hat.

As I read this the sadness slowly creeps back in, there is a bracelet that has metal evergreen tree leaves and a gold Claddagh on the outside, there is also a photo of me as a baby with the two people this time their faces are a little easier to see. I put on my bracelet and try to push out the sadness. An owl landed in front of me and took off after scratching Teddy, I remove the old newspaper covering it, It is a wooden music box, I open it and inside there is a letter

This is too much the tears start to roll down my cheeks and I promptly leave the table. I run out of the Great Hall, threw the entrance hall and the courtyard, I run past Professors Longbottom and McGonagall.
Neville P.O.V
Minerva offered to cover my class again today if I wanted to be with my parents but I refused and said that I needed to thank Emma myself when Emma came running past us crying. We ran after her to catch up with her, she stopped under the tree that overlooked the lake, I noticed that she sits under often to do her homework. I crouch next to her and ask what's wrong. "I got a package it had a letter from my mother and a drawing of me and" she was so upset that I could barely make out what she was saying.
"Why don't you come and explain it in my office it is warmer in there" Minerva suggests so I helped Emma to her feet, we make our way to the office and I sit Emma in a chair close to the fire, Emma slowly explains what happened, Minerva's face took upon a look of fear it gave me goosebumps as she never looks scared. She went to find Teddy and get the box when she returned with the box she opened it and had it play its song, as she investigated its contents.
"That's the lullaby I heard and my Grandmother would sing," Emma said Minerva and I give her a puzzled look "I saw through a window I was not in control of my body and I grabbed a baby I think it was a memory" Emma explained Minerva gave Emma permission to not go to her lessons and told her not to tell anyone about this "may I keep the box," Emma asked so Minerva gave her the box back but said she might need to check-in for curses and jinxes.
