030; i miss him

Christina's POV:

We had stopped for the night by parking the van in am empty lot that's most likely no one would come by.

Corbyn and I were cuddling on the floor of the van like the other couples. Jack and Gabbie were cuddling, while Jack was snoring loudly.

Tate was by herself in the corner with dried tears on her face. She must have cried herself to sleep. I hate that they have to go through this. Not knowing whether your boyfriend is okay or not.

Next to Corbyn and I was Daniel and Sofia. She had gotten out of the front to cuddle with Daniel. They looked cute and Daniels arm was draped over her body.

Lastly Alexa stayed up in the front seats with a blanket wrapped around. She was constantly moving around in her seat trying to find a comfortable position.

"Chris." Corbyn whispered to me and I whipped my head towards his face to see bright green eyes.

"What?"

"She can't stop thinking about Zach and it's killing her." Corbyn mentioned looking over at the girl in the front seats.

"I'll deal with it." I smiled softly and got up from my spot and walked out of the van and headed to the front seats.

Opening the door to the front I tapped Alexa and she woke up quickly looking at me with a curious face.

"Come on." I motion for her to get out of the car. She slowly moved the blanket off of her and jumps out of the car following me to the small little tree that was nearby.

"What's up?" she asked quietly, still half asleep.

"Just wanted to see if your okay, and if you wanna talk about anything I'm here for you." I state receiving a nod from her.

"You had to tell me this at night?" she raised her eyebrow at me.

"Well, Corbyn read your mind and you can't stop thinking about Zach. So if you need to vent to me, I'm here." I say while I sit at the bottom of the tree and pat the spot next to me for Alexa to sit.

Alexa hesitated but eventually sits down and sighs.

"I miss him." she says quietly looking over at me.

"I do too. Everyone does, but your taking this the hardest." I comment.

"That's the thing. I'm lost in my thoughts thinking what happened to the boys. We don't know what happened to them, they could be.." Alexa trailed off on her last sentence, but I understood what she meant.

"Did Zach ever ask you to be his girlfriend?" I asked her and she shakes her head while a tear falls down her face.

"I'm going to kill that boy." I say angrily which makes Alexa chuckle is a little bit.

"Pretty sure he was going to ask me in the morning cause you told me he had something to ask me before we fell asleep." Alexa mentions picking at the grass beneath us.

"Well then, you'll just have to wait until we get him back. And nothing bad can happen to him cause he still needs to ask you the question." I answer getting a confused face from Alexa.

"What?"

"You'll have something to look forward too. Once we get him back, and I don't think the universe is that cruel to where he won't ever get to ask the question." I say trying to make sense, which works since Alexa gives me a soft smile.

"I just wish I could have a sign he is okay." Alexa said to me with her blue eyes filling up with water.

"Jonah is with him, basically his mom." I chuckle making Alexa let out one big laugh.

"Thanks Chris." Alexa says leaning her back against the tree.

"Everything is going to be okay, and Zach is going to be fine. He'll ask you the question, I know it." I state.

"What are you, like a psychic?" Alexa mumbled jokingly.

"Yup, I stole the power from Daniboy." I laugh. Alexa laughs as well laying her head into my laugh as she got more tried.

"You know what I miss most about Zach?" she asks me.

"What?"

"His stupid thought process. I know that sounds stupid but I always loved it when he got mad or pouted cause he always wanted me there to comfort him." she smiles at the thought of him.

"Only you could love someone like that." I laugh getting a joking glare from Alexa.

"So what, Corbyn isn't stupid?" Alexa smirks.

"No he is. But Zach is a whole other level of stupid." I smile down at the girl.

"True. One time in middle school, someone asked him to the winter dance using a sign but he was so clueless he thought that the girl was just handing him a poster board to use for a project or something." Alexa giggled.

"Hold up, what did he say to the girl?"  I laughed.

"He said, 'thanks I needed one for history anyway. I'll just use the back since the front had writing on it.'" Alexa giggled and I bursted out laughing. I looked into her eyes and saw happiness in them for the first time since Zach was gone.

"How does one think of something like that?" I laugh making Alexa laugh even harder.

"I don't know, but that's Zach for you." Alexa smiled.

"What did the girl say?"

"She was like 'oh yeah, no problem.' and she walked away in embarrassment. I felt bad for her and ran up to her telling her Zach was the most idiotic person I have ever met." Alexa said looking up at me.

"Well your not wrong." I shrugged.

"True. It feels good talking about him." Alexa thought looking at me with a grateful smile.

"It takes your thoughts away. If you ever need to talk to me just come sit next to me and we can do this all over again." I mention and Alexa nods closing her eyes.

"I think I'm going to go to sleep. Love you Christina." Alexa says rolling off of me and laying against the tree to fall asleep.

"Love you too Alexa." I mention and fall asleep against the tree for a few hours before we have to wake up and keep moving.
