Alexa's POV:

"Zach, I trust you and you know that but why do I have a blindfold on?" I asked as I was being dragging through the forest around Prism Lake, "You aren't going to murder me right?"

"What! No." Zach chuckled with an airy laugh as his grip on my hand tightened and he guided me through the many branch's and leaves on the ground I could feel underneath my feet.

It's been about a week since the whole saving the world incident and everyone was settling in at Prism Lake.

We've been going around to the practices and camp hangouts. Since I was the only one without powers, I just followed around Zach like a lost puppy, which I'm totally okay with.

Gabbie found her second power recently since she couldn't seem to unlock it. She had super strength like Jonah and when he found out the two high-fived, shaking the ground beneath them with their strong force.

We all got assigned proper cabins the day Zach woke up, girls and boys being separated. Thank god for that, I couldn't live with those boys for any longer. Their group consists of Corbyn and Jack arguing, Zach making dumb comments, Daniel in the corner, and Jonah trying to settle everyone down. Us girls are way more studious then that.

Anyway, Zach knocked on the girls cabin door not even five minutes ago and blindfolded me before I could say a word. I went along with it, assuming he had a surprise planned for me. If he didn't, I would need to have a serious talk with him.

"Okay, we are almost there. Just a few more steps." Zach mentioned, guiding me over a log before we stopped in place, "Ta-da!"

I frowned and faced where I thought Zach was standing, "I still have the blindfold on Zach."

I heard his gasp as he fumbled to undo the tie on the back of my head. He took a few moments but luckily it came off and I was a little blinded by the bright lights lit up in the tree's.

I took a second to take in my surroundings. There was a small clear opening that Zach had decorated to create a small picnic. In the middle was a red blanket that was covered in paper plates and a picnic basket that held the food from the dining hall. Around the blanket were the pillows in the boys cabin that were precisely laid out so we had a place to sit. Around the tree's were fairy lights that created enough light for us to see the small opening. The moon above us was also shining through the tree branches and casted a light onto the middle of the blanket.

"Do you like it?" Zach asked as I felt his hand slip into mine and our fingers intertwined, lacing in perfect union.

"I love it." I beamed, taking my eyes off the scene and looking up at my boyfriend, "What's it for?"

"It's our first date! We can't really have a real one so I hope dining hall food and sprite work as a fancy dinner." Zach explained as he brought me over to the blanket and sat the two of us down.

I took the seat next to him as our butts hit the pillows. I looked down at the one I was sitting on, "Isn't this Jack's pillow?"

"Yeah, don't tell him. Please." Zach blushed as I chuckled and watched as he got the food out of the basket. "For m'lady."

He handed me a bowl of semi warm pasta with a fork in it, "Aw, you know me so well sweetie."

"It's what I do best." he joked as he pulled out another pasta bowl for himself, "If you don't like it there's fruits, sandwich's, and chips in there." he commented as he started pulling out the other foods stored in the basket.

"Zach, it's perfect." I told him as I placed my hand on his shoulder and he turned his head so I could see his beautiful brown eyes.

Zach stared at me in silence and I knitted my eyebrows waiting for him to speak up, "You're really pretty."
