Jonah's POV:

I couldn't sleep last night because Zach was making a ruckus. He kept saying the most random things throughout the night.

Like, "Jonah did you fart because it smells like sunglasses in here." or maybe the occasional, "What's the girls name I like? Oh yeah, cow."

Basically he was talking all night whether he was awake or not. Because of him I was mentally exhausted.

"Jonah?" Zach's voice echoed through the room in the middle of the night.

"Yes, Zach?" I ask annoyed because this would be the fifth time he's called for me tonight. But I knew he didn't mean it so I always responded and went along with whatever he said.

"You ever look at the stars and say, hey, I'm one of them." he giggled in his sleep and I could tell he shifted his body to face me, so I did the same.

"Yeah, all the time. Now try and get some sleep okay?" I say to him and he nods to me like a child and turns back over.

He was quiet for maybe another 20 minutes until I heard him giggling in his sleep and I sighed looking over at him. Fast asleep, yet still making a ton of noise.

I couldn't do anything about it, this wasn't his fault. We had no idea how long this serum would last so I had to wait it out.

"JONAH!" he yelled which startled me, making em fall out of my bed.

"Ow." I groan as I landed on my bad wrist and turned onto my back just laying on the floor.

"Jonah, why are you on the floor silly goose?" Zach laughed as I looked up and saw him leaning over his bed watching me groan in pain.

"It's nothing, go back to sleep." I say and Zach agrees once more to flip over in his bed again.

I slowly make my way back to my bed and don't even bother to pull my comforter over my body again. Just like I thought not even 10 minutes later Zach started talking in his sleep again.

"But Alexa, hamsters are ten times better then unicorns. We would name is cookie dough and raise it on a farm!" Zach stated angrily in his sleep probably dreaming about the most ridiculous argument with Alexa.

I had enough of his talks so I made my way to the bathroom, closing the door behind me and sitting on the toilet.

I rubbed my hands down my face and felt the tiredness in my body. I was so tired I could fall asleep on the toilet right this second.

I was about to doze off but suddenly I heard a noise coming from outside the room. And no it wasn't Zach talking again, it was a deep and louder voice.

"No, he mentioned something about lightning......yeah." I heard the voice say on the other side of the wall.

It was probably guards talking to each other while they patrolled the hallways at night.

Wait, did I hear what they said correctly?

"JONAH!" Zach yelled once more making me let out a groan. I put aside what I just heard and walked back out into the main room where Zach was cuddled in his blankets watching me.

"Why were you in the bathroom?" Zach asked in fort of a mumble.

"Why are you asking that?" I question him.

"Well I didn't hear the toilet flush or you wash your hands, which by the way is gross, like come on dude, ewwwww." Zach mentioned and I brushed off his comment.

"I didn't go to the bathroom. I'll talk to you in the morning, go to bed. For real this time." I sternly say and Zach, once again, agrees falling asleep instantly.
