Daniel's POV:
I screamed. It was the only correct respond to looking down, excepting your body to be there and it's not.
This shouldn't be happening. I mean this isn't humanly possible. I could feel my stress levels go up as I had no idea how to turn back to being visible. My breathing was becoming quickened and more like gasps for air.
I think the others heard my breathing ad they ran over to me.
"Daniel, your okay. Calm down, were right here." Jonah said to me. I felt he put his hand on my shoulder even though it looked like his hand was floating in mid air.
"What do I do?" I asked them. I could feel my body shaking up as I still wasn't turning back to normal.
The others didn't have time to answer as Tate walked back through the door with Dr. Wilson. Shit. The two stopped at the doorway and looked at the bed I was suppose to be in.
"Where is Daniel?" Tate asked towards her boyfriend.
"He's, um..." Jonah froze up, not knowing what to say. I tried to stay completely still and hold my breathing in so the doctor wouldn't get suspicious.
"He's in the bathroom." Christina finished off for Jonah. She pointed to the bathroom that was connected to the room. Quick thinking.
"Corbyn what are you doing out of bed?" Dr. Wilson asked the other boy. I'm guessing he didn't know about Jonah's new healing ability.
"Me? Oh, I just wanted to see Daniel. We are now bonded by lightning so.....yeah." Corbyn quickly said.
"You shouldn't be out of bed. Christina can you take him back. I don't even know how he is standing considering the concussion he has." Dr. Wilson whispered the last part to himself but we all heard.
With his words Corbyn pretended to stumble a bit onto Christina, who lead him out of the room. Dr. Wilson turned his attention back to Jonah and Tate.
"How did Daniel get to the bathroom? He has a broken leg." he questioned us. I couldn't say anything so I watched as Jonah tried to come up with a lie.
"I helped him. He really needed to go, so I carried him over. I'll come get you once he comes out." Jonah said to the doctor scooting him out of the room and finally closing the door.
I could feel myself calm down as now all I had to do was focus on wanting to be seen again. I slowed my breathing and went to work listening to Jonah and Tate's conversation.
"Daniel you okay in there?" Tate asked the bathroom door, not knowing I was on the bed invisible.
"Tate, he's not in there." Jonah said to his girlfriend, who was giving him a questionable look.
"Then where is he Jo?"
"I'm right here." I respond to the couple. With one last huge breath I concentrated super hard and look down at my body to see all limbs and torso there. I let out a huge sigh of relief and look over at Tate's face, jaw dropped.
"You were invisible!?" she questions me.
"Yup. Scariest experience of my life. And I've been hit by lightning, so that's saying something." I commented, making Jonah laugh.
"So the lightning did affect each one of you. You can turn invisible and Jonah can heal people." I nod getting what she was saying.
"Also, Daniel I think you should keep the cast on for now. We don't want the doctor to get suspicious. I think Corbyn's going to keep acting like he still has his concussion too until he gets discharged." Jonah says to me. I look down at my ugly cast, it's all big and bulky.
"Jonah you should go heal the other guys. We don't know if they woke up yet." Tate says to her man. He nods.
"Daniel, we will be back. Stay calm and try not to turn invisible anymore." Jonah says to me. I nod knowing the two should probably go help the other guys that were struck by lightning. The other part of me didn't want to be alone. I was always alone, but these guys made me feel safe.
Tate must have noticed the scared look on my face that appeared because she insisted to stay with me.
"I'll stay here with Daniel. You go ahead to the room next door Jo." she said to her boyfriend. He smiled at us and left the room to go heal the other two boys.
"Daniel, you'll be okay. Just stop thinking about all the bad things." Tate says to me. That's the problem I can't. I literally turn invisible, which is not something I love. I already feel invisible enough as it is and now I'm the definition on invisible. If I ever want a career in music, this is not going to help me.
"Yeah. Thanks Tate." I whisper to her. We sit in silent not knowing what to say, you know since I just met her.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" she finally asks me.
"I'm single. I have been my whole life. Dating is stressful and girls don't like me." I say with a hit of sadness in my voice.
"Hey don't say that. The dream girl is out there for you." she says rubbing my shoulder, giving me comfort.
"You know actually before this I got stood up on a date." I say thinking about how that was just last night.
"Please, she wasn't worth it. You seem like a good guy Dani. You'll find the correct girl, who will love you for every flaw." she encourages me.
"Like you and Jonah?" I ask her. She blushes at his name.
"Like me and Jonah. Don't worry you'll find your Jonah one day." she jokes. I let out a genuine laugh for the first time in a while. I have a feeling these people are going to really change my world for the better.
