Jonah's POV:
I sat patiently in the chair I was currently handcuffed too, trying my best to ignore the pain shooting throughout my hand. I had many questions that most likely wouldn't get answers too, but I had to put my curiosity to the side and do this for the sake of Zach and I.
I carefully took in my surroundings, two guards to the right of me and two more to the left. Of course there was about 30 men working on that huge device across the room, but I was going to have to pray those people didn't know how to fight.
To finally get a chance to break this anklet off my leg I was going to have to break these handcuffs in half, which was going to hurt like hell. I mentally and physically prepared myself for what I was about to do.
"3. . .2. . .1. . ." I mumbled to myself before ramming my hand against the cold metal.
It budged a little bit but the only thing my mind could focus on was the bones shattering in my hand. I bit the inside of the cheek to keep myself from screaming because then I would catch attention of the guards not so far away.
I felt the taste of blood enter my mouth as I realized I was now bleeding. I had to keep going though, I had too.
Once more I jammed my hand repeatedly towards the metal wrapped around my hands without drawing the attention of the guards. After three more attempts, each time crushing the bones beneath my flesh even more.
This point I couldn't even recognize the shape of my hand as it was all out of place and misshaped. I wanted to throw up looking at my hand but just closed my eyes instead.
On the third try I heard the metal snap into two, breaking my hand free. At last I freed my hands and carefully placed the handcuffs on the table in front of me without making a noise.
Now for the anklet.
Zach and I both knew they had a key for the anklets, that they can use to take them off and keep them on. The matter of the fact was finding where these keys were stored.
I was going to have to fight my way out of here seeming the guards would notice I escaped the handcuffs in a few seconds. I calmed my nerves down, preparing myself once again to put myself into a dangerous situation, but I had no need too.
I watched as the guards received a message through the ear pieces they wore, immediately filing out of the room and shutting the door behind them. Wonder what that was about?
Thankfully since they left I was going to be able to sneak away to find those keys. I stood up from my chair only for it to rub against the floor making a squeaking sound that echoed through the air.
The workers across the room all looked up at me with a questionable look.
Act cool Jonah, "Good work, keep it up!"
The continued to watch me weirdly before shrugging and going back to their work. I let out air I didn't realize I was holding in and walked to the door, opening and closing it in an instance.
Perfect, now I just have to find where they are keeping the keys.
The walked through the halls endlessly, not finding a single key in any of the rooms I had opened. As I walked I held my hand, trying to ignore the pain erupting from the injury and spreading up my arm.
I had to sneak and keep my head down as I passed random people I have never seen while staying here. I'm even more surprised that none of them recognize me, I mean I was technically a celebrity here. Right?
It felt like I had been searching these halls for hours but in reality it was probably close to ten minutes. May I add the halls looked exactly the same so I got lost a few times.
