Sofia's POV:

We watched as Corbyn laid on the floor screaming his head off. I guessed he was being affected by a device that was made especially for him and his powers.

"Where is the device?" Tate asked from next to me looking around the area. I joined her but couldn't find it on any of the guards.

I looked back over at Corbyn to him still squirming on the ground, Christina was kneeling next to him, trying to show him comfort.

"Guys! It's to the far right!" Alexa yelled from behind us, pointing at some guard next to the building.

I watched as a guard, one on the smaller side, played with the square box in his hand. He had a sly smile on his face which made me sick. How could you watch someone be in pain and like it?

"I got it!" I yelled and used my super speed to race over to the guard. Of course I would have taken him down with no doubt, but I never actually got there to do that.

Some other guard had tripped me somehow and I flew to the ground, scrapping my knees and hands against the concrete. That subtle but intense pain emerged from my knees and hands due to the skid marks. The guard on the other hand moved towards me while placing his hand on a knife holster he had attached to his leg.

I couldn't move fast enough before a knife was lifted from his holster and flung straight towards my face. I moved my face a few inches and the knife ended in the ground, grazing my ear.

I glared at that guy, "You through knifes? This isn't fair!" I yelled and got up from my spot of laying on the floor, "Someone get the device from the other guard, I'm preoccupied!" I yelled and charged at the knife throwing guard.

"I'm preoccupied too!" Alexa yelled as I saw her get kicked to the ground and punch in the stomach. Milo was there though so he would take care of it.

"I'm on it!" Tate yelled while still fighting a few guards off. She did end up getting smashed in the head which caused her to lose her perfect balance. My bet is she gained a concussion.

As I ran towards the man with the knifes, a few more were thrown at me. This time I was able to move out of the way for them to fly right past me.

As I was a few feet away from him he threw one last knife which I dodged and decided to grab it mid air, flinging it back at the sender.

The knife slid right in the side of his right arm, having him let out a small scream.

"Didn't anyone tell you knifes are dangerous?" I asked him before doing a back kick and knocking him out.

My attention was focused on this one guard I forget about the screaming Corbyn in the background. Once the guard hit the floor, Corbyn's screams came back into my ears. Where was Tate?

I scanned the field and Tate was tired, looked ready to pass out after fighting for so long. I needed to get to the device for Corbyn.

I ran over to the small guard holding the device, without any interruption this time. With a small elbow to the head, he was laying sprawled out cold. Great.

I picked up the device that fell from his hands as he went unconscious, observing how to turn it off. There was a small red button towards the bottom of it. So as everyone says, don't push the red button, I did exactly the opposite of that.

Luckily it was the correct button and the sound of Corbyn's screams faded away. I watched as his hands lowered from his head and Christina pulled him up into a hug.

I wish that cute moment could have lasted but of course, we were all distracted so the guards were able to sneak up behind us. I didn't hear the one behind me as he slapped handcuffs on my wrists, locking them behind my back.
