Jack's POV:

"Are you oka-" the lady who had been driving the car said to me. I had waved her down and she took notice, hopping out to see if I was okay.

She paused, taking a glance at my face only to study it. Her once considering look changed to a confused and nervous one, taking in who I actually was.

"Don't freak out! I just need you-" I started to say before the lady let out a loud scream, running back into her car and fumbling to call the police on the phone, "Okay then."

"Jack!" a voice lingered through my head.

I jumped back from where I was standing, looking around before I remembered who is would be.

'Corbyn, you can't do that to a man.' I thought as I placed my hand over my heart, feeling it calm down after the scare.

"Who said you were a man?" Corbyn questioned me and I rolled my eyes to it.

"Corbyn, what did we say!" another voice jumped in, belonging to Sofia, "No arguing. Especially not now!" she sighed.

'Yeah, no arguing Corbyn. Now what do you want?' I thought as I watched the lady on her phone, taking small glances at me, acting like she was scared of me or something.

"We heard the girl scream, is she okay?" he asked me.

'Yeah no she's fine. Now shut up.' I thought before I saw the lady finally get off the phone and was just weirdly looking at me.

"I'm not going to hurt you! I promise!" I yelled at her, but she continued to look scared out of her mind, might as well just give up. She already did her part, calling the police which would alert the government. No need to talk to her.

Even though I didn't do anything, she drove away from the scene, leaving me alone out on the road to wait for the government to show up.

Probably best decision, I don't want people other then me getting into this mess right now.

'Corbyn are they anywhere near?' I asked, getting no response in return but instead for me to hear movement from where they were standing.

I saw a small figure rise up in the sky, only for it to be Corbyn flying. He was most likely taking in if they were leaving the facility yet to come get me.

"Yeah, you should see them any second." he said back to me right when I heard cars coming towards me off in the distance.

I stood innocently as I watched three vans pull up, inching closer to me by the second. I could feel my nerves increase but I pushed them down inside me, I needed to be strong right now.

"Come on Jack, you can do this." I told myself.

The cars rolled up, surrounding me. There was no way out, men stepped out of the van. They wore black outfits, long sleeve shirts with cargo pants. They also carried a bullet proof vest across their chest.

The men also carried guns but also a different types of weapons that I didn't recognize.

One the of weapons was a square device, supporting dials and nobs. Something told me it was the device I have encountered before, rupturing my ear drums. There was another device that clearly was the anklet they would soon attach to my anklet, that I would have to maneuver out of.

"What are you doing out here Jack? Lost?" one of the men said to me. He looked in charge of this operation, wearing many badges and holding the men back from open firing at me.

"Lost, um. . .yeah. You caught me." I dumbly said before Corbyn's voice was ringing through my head again.

"Don't act so giving, pretend you don't want to get caught." he whispered. I nodded at the thought but apparently the main guy had been talking to me.

"AVERY!" he yelled, startling me, "Look around you. You have no where to go." he motioned to the cars surrounding me.

He wasn't wrong, I had no where to go. I couldn't back out now and the others wouldn't be able to come get me because then they would be captured too.

"Where are your friends? Are they hiding around here somewhere?" he questioned me, taking two steps forward, resulting me into taking two steps backwards.

"I got separated from them. . .sir. I don't know where they are, but you aren't going to take me." I stated while my voice was shaking a little bit.

"You can't defend yourself if you can't focus Jack." the man said before a bunch of the other men holding the various weapons stepped towards me.

I freaked out and lit my eyes up purple, hoping it would do something. Maybe scare them a bit.

Thankfully it did, they stopped dead in their tracks before I heard the main man in charge, ordering them to continue.

"NO!" I yelled but only to be hit with a high pitched frequency, coursing through one ear and out the other. The sound painfully made me drop to me knees and grab a hold of my head.

It's not like they haven't used this device on me before, but each time they do it it will always hurt like hell.

"Jack. . ." a muffled voice floated along with the noise, but the sound was cancelled out. I couldn't use my hearing to listen to what Corbyn was trying to tell me.

"Men, round him up." I heard a voice say as I felt my body being lifted out the ground. Multiple screams of pain and groans left my mouth as I couldn't defend or focus on the events playing out.

The noise was taking up most of my senses and attention, causing me not being able to realize what was happening.

Before I knew it, I was being dragged and thrown into the back of one of the vans. My back hit the floor, taking the air out of my lungs. Coughing and trying to gain control over my own body, I sat up.

"Your friends aren't here to help you Avery." a guy said to me with a small little smirk plaster onto his face. He was the one to have thrown me into the back. Now he was grabbing a metal object.

It was the power stopper they have created. It was a lot bigger then I imagined it to be, bulky and buzzing with technology.

I felt it clip onto my leg, which is something I shouldn't have been so excited about but to be honest, I was. I was forced to stop using my hearing which meant I wouldn't be able to hear the high pitched noise anymore.

"Enjoy that." the man said before shutting the doors.

I breathed in and out through my nose, already feeling weird since the power stopper was placed on me. Some how it sucks the energy out of you.

These powers are basically apart of me now, once you take those away you are taking away my energy and strength. I can't imagine how Jonah and Zach must feel. They've had these strapped around their legs for a good two weeks at the moment.

The moving of the van alerted me from my thoughts, pulling me back into reality and focusing me on what I need to do.

"Okay, you can do this. You can do this." I told myself, hoping the words will soon become true.

'Corbyn if  you can hear this, I can't use my hearing right now. You guys should start making your way to the facility.' I thought praying on the other end Corbyn was listening to every word.

Something told me that he was listening, 'Tell Gabbie I'm okay. I know she is probably worried right now.'

I can't wait until I'm back in her arms, feeling the warmth and comfort she brings to me. Let's just stay positive and keep this plan going.

We can't fail no matter what.
