076; what the hell was that

Daniel's POV:

Everyone was getting ready to charge at Thomas while I stayed in the back. I had no good fighting powers. My only use was to disappear and to randomly blank out every now and then.

I glanced around the small dome that Zach had formed around us with his force field. People from the outside were lurking in, trying to see what was going on.

My eyes landed on Zach who was holding Alexa's body. My best bet was to go hide with them. I carefully walked away from the group and made my way over to Zach.

Zach motioned me to move faster, "Come here!"

I hurried the pace and hid behind the trash can Zach was behind. "I can make us invisible if you guys want."

Zach hesitated before grabbing ahold of my arm and letting me turn the three of us invisible. Our bodies vanished and we had front row seats to the fight that was taking place at the moment.

The others sticked with the plan we previously used at the facility, hide and attack without being mind controlled. Of course, that didn't really work out last time but this time they can't mess up. If this works, we could get Alexa back.

"Don't let him mind control you!" Sofia yelled to the group as she sprinted away.

"I think we know that by now!" Corbyn yelled as he flew up and down behind a tree.

"Thought I would mention it since it didn't really work out last time!" Sofia yelled from her hiding spot. I could see her face from where I was sitting, it was covered in anger and fear.

"I'm sorry!" Jonah yelled as he knew Sofia was directed the comment towards him.

Thomas was moving around, trying to spot one of them but they'll all kept moving around behind objects.

He was standing in front of the tree Corbyn was currently behind. He was slowly taking steps, about to spot Corbyn and probably mind control him.

Suddenly Corbyn flew up from his spot against the tree without Thomas seeing him. He quietly flew over to were Christina was, grabbing her hand as he looked up to where Thomas was.

That went around for another five minutes, honestly it was pretty boring to watch. I'm just glad I wasn't in there because I would have been for sure caught. Let's be honest, what would he do with me? Make me go invisible?

Zach and I stayed hidden with Alexa as I used my invisibility, both of us watching as Zach spoke up.

"So like, are they going to do something?" he said with confusion laced in his voice.

"Don't know." I said back as my eyes focused on Sofia.  If nothing was happening, my eyes would find her. It was like as long as I could still see her, she would be okay and that's all I needed.

I watched as Christina slowly made her way over to Sofia and Corbyn who were now hiding behind some plotted trees and flowers. They welcomed her as she faced her back to them.

I kept my eyes on them but something was off. They were clearly being seen by Thomas but he wasn't doing anything. He kept walking around like he didn't see them.

Thomas faced towards we're Zach and I were and I saw it. His eyes were red, he was mind controlling someone.

"Guys! He is min-" I didn't get to finish my sentence as I felt my body beginning shot away from where I was hiding and landed near Thomas' feet.

I groaned as my eyes landed on Zach who wasn't invisible anymore since I wasn't with him. But his eyes were bright blue and he left Alexa.

"Daniel! I'm sorry, I-" he started speaking until Christina flew over but instead of helping me up she somehow shot a laser at my arm, cutting through the flesh and creating a huge gash.
