Sofia's POV:
We decided to stop for the night, we were all tired and out of breath, so we found a little clear area between some trees.
We got the blankets and sleeping bags out, passing them around and everyone fell asleep easily, well except me. I couldn't find a good position and my mind was keeping me awake.
I'm pretty sure it was around 2 am when I had about enough of just laying in one spot and trying to go to sleep. So, I decided to go for a small walk.
I got up, taking my blanket with me, and moved around anyone, hoping not to wake a single person up. I walked farther away from the group and just took in my surroundings.
The moonlight was shining bright over the forest, letting there be a small amount of light. Stars were hanging in the sky, filling up the empty spaces.
The trees we slowly swaying in the small amount of wind there was this night, and I could hear owls up in the air, awake for the night.
Eventually I came to a clearing I never noticed before and found it was a small cliff that lead over into a lake. Sadly, it wasn't Prism Lake, just a small lake that didn't go out very far.
I took a breather and sat down near the cliff and wrapped the blanket I had brought with me around my body filling me up with warmth.
The night was beautiful, I've always loved it. The stars always calm me because they look so pretty shining their hearts out for everybody on earth.
The moon was a full one tonight, which made me happy. I liked the look of it as it sat in a perfect circle and lit up the night sky making everything seem less scary.
As I sat quietly on the cliff and looking around my surroundings I heard a small twig branch break from behind me. I immediately spun around and saw a tall guy standing there.
"It's just me Sof." Daniel said stepping into the moonlight reveling is tried face.
"Oh, hi. What's up?" I asked as Daniel moved towards me and eventually sat down next to me, crossing his legs over each other.
"Nothing, just saw you walk away and didn't want you to be alone." Daniel shrugs as he looks below the cliff and into the quiet water below.
"Why thank you. I couldn't sleep so, yeah." I say nodding me head and watched as Daniels ocean blue eyes looked up into my brown ones, not breaking the eye contact.
"Sometimes I cant sleep, I hate it." Daniel mentions to me.
"Yeah, you try your hardest to fall asleep but in the end nothing you do works. You have to wait until you stop thinking about it to finally fall asleep." I explain to him how I feel and he nods.
"That's exactly what happens to me." he let out a small smile which showed his tooth gap which made me smile.
"Do you know why you can't sleep?" Daniel asked me.
"No, it's probably just everything going on right now." I say while I play with a strand of my hair.
"Makes sense. I've had a few of these same nights before." Daniel comments as he plays with his fingers.
"Look up at the stars, they always calm me." I say as I lean back and lay flat on the ground, Daniel following my lead.
"There so small." Daniel comments.
"There actually very big, their just so far up in the sky they look like tiny little lights." I say putting my hand up and pointing at the stars.
"You should talk to Corbyn, he loves stars." Daniel chuckled.
