Jack's POV:
"Corbyn, I swear if you don't stop it right now I'm going to shove my foot up your ass so far you won't-" Tate yelled at the boy before Christina hopped in and slammed her hand over Tate's mouth.
"Okay," Christina nervously chuckled, "Bub, what are you doing to piss off Tate?"
Corbyn went silent as the whole car waited for his answer, "I may have kicked her seat. Multiple times." he finally mentioned not making eye contact with anyone.
"You're like a two year old. Or acting like Zach." Christina mumbled before motioning to her boyfriend to lay his head on her shoulder.
"Thanks for the love bub." Corbyn quietly said it could only be heard by a few.
"How far are we?" I asked as I had the window seat of the car, Gabbie to the right of me. We were still on a road that was basically in the middle of nowhere. We were planning on doing my part of the plan a little outside the facility.
"We got maybe an hour left. Prepare yourself Jack." Sofia said as she looked at the paper Alexa had stolen from Jade's office.
Sighing, I looked at the object I have been holding tightly in my hand since this morning. It was a small metal rod I stole from some part of the bleachers they have at camp for when they do sport activities.
This item was going to debate on whether this whole plan would work or not. Praying it would do that trick of breaking the anklet the guards would place on me to stop my from using my powers.
It was small enough, could fit in tiny cracks and crevices. Once I was inside I would jam this in the anklet and do the same to Jonah and Zach's. It all sounded to easy though, I feel like we were missing something.
"Hey, you okay?" Gabbie whispered to me as other conversations were flowing through the car. I looked up from my hand and into Gabbie's soft eyes.
"Mhm? Oh, yeah I'm good." I say before looking away once more and out the window, hoping to keep my nervous down.
I felt Gabbie slip her hand into mine, squeezing it before lifting it up and placing a small kiss on top of it, "Talk to me."
Looking back at her I could see worriness flash in her eyes, scared of what I was thinking or feeling, "Just nervous, that's all."
"It's okay to be nervous, but it's nothing you haven't done before." Gabbie gave me a small smile and took a deep breath, "I mean you've been hit by lightning, shot in the shoulder and almost died, been a fugitive for the country, and through all of that you're still the same loving and selfless boy I fell in love with."
"I am pretty awesome. But are you going to be okay?" I furrowed my eyebrows knowing in the past she has always reacted bad to when I'm either putting myself in danger or getting hurt.
"Yeah, I'll be okay. We have you communicating with Corbyn, so it's not like we are completely cut off from each other. Plus, it's nothing I haven't done before." she gave me a cheeky smile before I pulled her into a side hug and just sat there in the moment.
"I love you."
"Love you too Jack." she responded back.
"Okay, we are about 30 minutes away from where we will have Jack get taken." Sofia announced to the people in the car.
"Before we try anything, I think we should make sure Jack and Corbyn can communicate properly." Tate stated looking between the two of us.
I glanced over at Corbyn who nodded and looked over at me, eyes turning green and I knew mine where turning purple.
