Zach's POV:
I saw her again. I could spot her blonde hair a mile away. At first I didn't think it was her, it wouldn't be this easy to see her once again. Of course nothing has been easy, but it seemed to good to be true. It wasn't until I saw her face, that I felt tears poking the back of my eye and I had to blink them away.
She took a seat behind me, I couldn't turn around to face her because of the handcuffs wrapped around my wrists. I also knew if I turned around, I wouldn't be able to control my emotions and I would start crying.
I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time and now it was finally here. Instead of running up to her beautiful self, I had to sit with my back to her. I could hear her trying to keep herself from full out crying, which only hurt me more.
"So glad you asked Ms. Cruz!" Thomas yelled which startled me away from my thoughts about the blonde behind me, "That device is going to change the world."
"How is the electric toothbrush going to change the world? What, is it going to give everyone perfectly white teeth?" Jonah asked from next to me, smirk laid on his face. Thomas was giving him a stink eye, ignoring the comment from the older boy.
"Way more. Why don't we take a closer look?" Thomas smiled before pointing at the guards placed around the room and ordered them to lift us up.
One came behind me, lifted me out of my seat. He pushed me forward, causing me to stumble a little bit. I accidentally ran into someone and when I looked up it was none other then the love of my life.
"Zach." she smiled at me, tears silently running down her cheeks. She couldn't say anything before she was yanked away and walked side by side next to some dude.
Who the hell is that? I don't remember him being part of the group. Maybe he was part of the group and I forgot, I tend to forget a lot of things.
As we all walked across the hanger, reaching the front, the device stood way over our heads. It was at least 30 feet tall, hitting the top of the ceiling.
"It's pretty impressive isn't it." Thomas smiled as he looked at his invention. The men working on it seemed to be finishing up, which meant the worst was coming soon. I just know it.
"I guess? I mean it's okay, I've seen better." Jack commented, as he glanced at the device.
"You've seen better? Really?" Thomas frowned and stepped in front of Jack, crossing his arms.
"Yeah, my fourth grade self made battery is ten times better then this." Jack shrugged but didn't watch as Thomas looked like he had smoke coming out of his ears.
"I bet your puny battery can't do a fourth of what this can do." Thomas shook off Jack's comment and headed over to some control panel off to the side.
"What does it do?" Daniel asked, a shakiness in his voice. I sort of forgot he had pretty bad stress and anxiety. See, I do forget things.
"It's the worlds first storm maker." Thomas smiled leaning on the panel, watching each of our reactions.
I believe he thought we would all be more impressed but faces all down the line resemble untouched ones. What the hell would a storm maker do? Make snow and cancel school? Wow, what an invention Thomas.
"I would think about it if I were you. We made this based on the information Zach gave us." he sent me a sly smirk and I rolled my eyes away from him.
"You drugged me! Completely not my fault." I whined but it didn't matter if I was drugged or not. The damage was done.
"I don't really want to think more about your invention. I've already looked at it enough." Jack mentioned as he fidgeted in the spot he stood in. Gabbie was next to him, holding his hand as their backs were more faced to each other that they could reach their hands.
