Zach's POV:
I woke up before my eyes opened. I could feel my surroundings, feeling the comfort of whatever I was laying on. Underneath me felt like a mattress and the air around me felt warm against my skin. I could hear conversations striking but I focused in on one.
"Once he wakes can you bring him out?" a voice said. I recognized it as Sofia's. Okay at least people I knew were around me.
"Of course." another voice said I recognized it almost immediately. Some part of me didn't want to believe it for the sakes of maybe I was wrong, but the other half of me knew I was right, I knew it was her.
I realized there as a feeling on my hand as it felt like someone was holding it. I slowly moved my fingers across the top of the hand knowing it was hers.
A small little gasp came from the person next to me, "Zach? Hey, can you hear me?"
I slowly opened my eyes, hoped filled them. It was a blur but soon everything was coming clear as I blinked a few times.
I looked to the person next to me and once I saw that blonde hair I jumped from where I laid and jumped into her arms. Her arms wrapped around mine as I pulled her in close. I was never going to let her go again.
"I missed you." I whispered into her ear.
"I'm never going to leave you again." she whispered back. It felt amazing to hear her voice. I thought so would never hear it again but damn, it felt good.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I quickly asked and it made her laugh. She pulled out of the hug and I saw her blue eyes again. They made me fill up with warmth, like I was home.
"Duh. I think we've waited long enough." she smiled as a small tear rolled down her cheek. I could feel happy tears forming as I gently grabbed her face and pulled her into a kiss.
It's what I needed. She lips fit with mine like always, like they belonged together. My hands pressed against her face as hers ran through my hair and our lips moved passionately in motion.
I pulled away and let my forehead rest on hers, "I love you."
"I love you too." she smiled.
"Okay, quick question, where are we?" I asked as I pulled away from her forehead and as I was in a cabin. This cabin looked like a small hospital.
"Prism Lake, remember? Your in the hospital wing." she looked at me before gasping, "Oh right! You've never been here! I get to show you around, yay!"
"Well, I'm all good now so go show me around darling." I mentioned before getting off the bed I was on and started walking. Alexa pulled me back.
"There's someone here that wants to see you." she mentioned and I frowned. Who could possibly visit me at a place like this? Jack was really my only friend before the whole lightning thing happened.
"Who?"
"You'll see." she smiled as she lead the way out of the cabin and dragged me by my hand.
We stepped outside and I was blinded by the light. My eyes fixed themselves and I took in the surroundings. Prism Lake was much prettier then I imagined. There were cabins placed everywhere and trees that looked like they reached the top of the sky. The lake was visible and you could see kids playing in it. People were everywhere like one huge community. It felt like a safe home.
"It's beautiful." I smiled as Alexa laughed and brought me over to an area that looked like a dining hall. It was empty except for one table. I only saw back of some heads but I would recognize them anywhere.
