Jack's POV:
"You sure you know where we are going?" I asked Zach as it seemed we were aimlessly walking through the hallways.
Whenever we passed a group of guards I would use my hallucinations to make us dissapear or maybe lead them down the wrong hall. After a while I was getting exhausted, but I couldn't think about that. We still had a long way to go.
"Yeah, I think." Zach said while taking a right, "He's not in any of the rooms I know, so he's somewhere else."
I stopped in my tracks, "So we are lost."
"Yeah."
"Great." I sighed and looked around at where we currently stood, "Where do you think he was taken?"
Zach does the same thing, looking around the halls, thinking hard about where Jonah could be.
"Come on think hard Zach." I beg to him knowing that we need to find Jonah as fast as we can.
"Okay, we can try one more place. I've never been to it but I've heard Thomas mention it before." Zach said as he began off the left hallway, not waiting for me to follow.
I quickly picked up the pace and follow after him, finally reaching his side as he takes another right, "Damn why are there so many hallways?"
"I don't know, Thomas is weird like that." Zach shrugged not looking at me but instead focusing on our destination.
As we continued down the halls, I used my hearing to listen for footsteps that were near. I picked up on, what seemed like five of them.
"Zach, stop." I said putting my hand out in front of him, stopping the both of us from moving forward.
I concentrated on a hallucination, focusing all the energy in me on this one image I had to form for the sakes of getting out of here alive.
I pictured Zach and I walking down the right hallway, fast and loud, that it would attract the attention of the guards coming near us.
"Okay, don't say a word." I mumbled to Zach as I pushed both of our bodies against the wall next to us, starting the hallucination as the guards came into view just a few feet away from us.
I watched as the guards stop moving, seeming to be watching the fake Zach and me run down the hallway. The guards bolted into a run and turned around the next corner, ending up far away from us.
"Good job." Zach told me quietly before pushing himself off the wall and continuing down the hall to the left.
It felt like forever we were wandering through these halls, right turn after left turn, repeatedly asking Zach if he knew what he was doing. Of course it being Zach, I had no idea what was going through that head of his.
"What are the others up to right now?" Zach asked he after a few moments of silent, making conversation.
"I don't know, Corbyn hasn't linked with me since earlier." I commented thinking I should probably see what's happening with them.
As I used my hearing to listen to Corbyn, the only thing I could hear was his screams. I couldn't listen to anything else as his screams took up all my brain, unfocusing me from anything around me.
I looked up at Zach who was trying to say something to me, but I could only see his mouth move and no words come out. I raised my hands and clutched my ears, hoping the pain would stop.
"AHHHHH!" I yelled out as Corbyn's screams were making my head hurt. I didn't realize I had fallen to the ground until I felt Zachs hands trying to help me up.
